I need this:
i need to hide one category from the front page and show in one especific page.

Category=11 excluded from front page.
page test1 show only the category 11.

Great, just post a question about WP, I copy it here:

It is possible.

You would need to modify index.php file or loop.php file, depends on the theme structure.

You can use 3 get_posts() functions, you have example of usage here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/get_posts

It will require some basic html/php skill to do that.

About the other question, what do you really mean? Why would database connection error happen at all?

Hello, I need help guys!
Ok so I installed wp theme and there is defaul page home. I want to add new and I add but how to get posts there?
I made category and when I post there then is make post on category/test/ but my page is just mysite/test
how to get posts on my page? I can only post on category,how to make category links be the same like page links? Or maybe I need to do different thing?

I understand you. If your theme does not support it, than you would need to use Page Templates to create Blog Page Template and then assign it to the specific page you are trying to show posts on.

Or maybe try with this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-post-list/

P.S You could also try assigning blog page under Settings - Reading. Assign static page for the homepage and then blog page to the desired page.

Hmm sorry but I have no idea, tried googling but found nothin useful. I am not familiar with this as it is not strictly WordPress related, it is more related to your os and server installation.

hi, I have some problem with WP
I want to embed youtube video on my post
I found tutorial in wordpress site, they said I can use shortcode [youtube=....]
but it doesn't work in my post, I use WP 3.3.2 + LigthWorld theme
so I embed provided code from youtube and paste in HTML mode
is there anyway to make it easier to embed youtube video?

I imagine this will be an easy one for you - But in my theme obviously when I post I have the option of leaving comments open or disabling comments. When I leave comments open, at the top of my post it says how many comments have been made BUT when I disable the comments on posts I don't want it to say at the top under my post title "Comments Disabled" like it does at the moment. I just want it to be blank. How do I remove the "comments disabled" text under the post title when I disable comments? Thanks a lot!

I removed a plug in and it resolved the issue, but when I update my plug ins it breaks the site.

I could not find the line of code to to increase the limit, so I do not know what to do.

Everything works, but when I try to add a new post it goes to a blank screnn.

Any idea why this happens?

Yeah, sometimes it's an issue with single plugin, but author of the post stated that he get's error when installing any plugin, that's why I suggested memory limit increase.

This has been going for a while. I have just installed my new wordpress site for multisite and have installed the network. The challenge i am have now is creating the wordpress blogs under it. for instance. blog.mydomainname.com. Each time i register, it tells me registration complete but when i tried going to that address, that is blog.mydomainname.com, it redirects to mydomainname.com. What am i doing wrong here

This can be due to a number of things. First thing I would recommend is turning of all the plugins and trying again. Then, chnage theme and try again. Then if it still fails, replace wordpress files with new ones (except wp-config.php) and try again.

You could use simple http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gd-star-rating/screenshots/ plugin and then choose option to enable commenting only for logged in users.
