It may sound crazy to you, but people easily get mad when it comes to soccer, especially in Europe.
Given that BHW originates in the UK, and many reputable members come from there, what you said about England probably pulled the trigger.

Would you piss on a flag in a patriotic country ? Or on a holy book in front of religious people ?
Insulting a soccer team in front of its supporter can have similar effects.
