So I was looking around kickstarter (super bored) and I came across this project called Remee. (Can't post a link, on my iPad).
Lucid dreaming for those who dont know is where you are in a dream and you know it's a dream, so this means you can control the dream and do all kind of wacky stuff. Seems pretty fun for a dream, and it may sound stupid but I'm considering pre-ordering one of them, lol.
So has anybody here actually had a lucid dream? Tell me about it.

Had these a few times. Though, especially last night, i had a dream whilst awake. Your body is asleep whilst you are fully awake, and you can feel things happening around you. It is rather freaky.

A co-worker and I thought that kickstarter was almost as good as x-ray specs back in the day. Pulsating lights while you sleep seems like one of the internet's biggest rippoffs aside from sending $600k to a bus-assistant for a "nice vacation", imo. The lights would wake me up, that's for sure.

you can train yourself into having lucid dreams, theres many techniques out there. I used to hang around dreamviews.com theres tons of info there along with a nice community.

I think I have had one in my entire lifetime and the first thing most people do is fly. Well, that's what I did. It is great and its great for the people who have mastered it by training.

I personally just bought an iPhone App and on my 6th or 7th go, it worked. Pretty cool stuff.

I did it one time, I had a dreamed where I robbed a bank, was on a police case and then when I finally made it to the safe house I shot myself. It almost felt like a movie..

can you please tell me which app is it ?
thanks

When myself and a friend were discussing dreams, he said he usually has lucid dreams.. I never did - and so began reading a bit online about it.

You can train yourself to have them... these are bits of info i picked up.
1) Keep a sleep diary : When you wake up every morning, jot down your dreams as much as you can remember.
2) During the day , ask yourself "Is this a dream". Look around you , does everything seem normal. Look at your hands, do they look like they always do. If you get into the habit of this, you will start to ask the question in your dreams. However things will be a bit weird in your dreams - your hands different etc. and then you will realise your in a dream and be able to control yourself.
3) When you are lucid dreaming , and you feel yourself waking up/ slipping out of the dream, just try to spin around on the spot your standing on.

After reading this stuff, I did start to do (2) . After about a week I had my first lucid dream. It was awesome, a few cool things happened, I walked along a wall matrix style. That dream was quite short though.

I haven't had one since, but haven't been doing (1) and (2) lately. I intend to put more effort into it soon, because it's really great experience, and i think it might be possible to solve real world problems in the dream world. Your mind may be more open or think differently.

Happened about 3 times when I was like 18 years old.... I kept researching it and before you know it I was able to realize I was in a dream and WOW it's awesome. I guess I was able to experience it was because of all the research on my mind so it was fresh with the knowledge and WA LA

One of them I was around my neigborhood and there were a bunch of people and kids..well just to have fun and told my self "Sniper rifle appear" and next thing you know I have a big rifle with scope and I start capping dudes all around me it was ridiculous and weird... not much blood though I would just shoot someone they would drop like a video game or somethin'

one of the other times all I said was "fine ass women with big tities and fat ass appear" I know I repeated it multiple times but each of those things did happen and I wanted some head from the broad and it felt just like a real blow job might of even had a wet dream, LMAO and then one of the other one I wanted to fly and I was flying over the ocean like REALLY FAST and I would land on air craft carriers and then jump and fly to another one over huge bodies of water it was crraaazyyy

i tried to have one last night .. and got pretty close .. i entered a dream but was still laying down in my room .. this big black portal was right infront of me and my room got a bit brighter. The only thing that sucks is i always get too excited and wake up. I've have a couple experiences.. next time i'll try to not live in the moment so much and just try and do stuff.. i can never leave my fucking house lol.

2 years ago i started trying for astral projection and i can say i had a bad experience as i was afraid, and since then it happens regularly i can't stop it.
So you need to be cure full.

Why were you afraid? What's so scary?

Funny, I had one a few days ago and it was really scary...lol felt like my sole was being taken! :-)

BTW, are there any benefits from these dreams? Health or mental etc?

It's not made by me but it's entirely true. Tried it once, will never try it again. Saw a dead relative walking around and staring at me and heard whispers which told me to follow them. This may seem entirely crazy, but this was my dream. And since I was lucid, everything felt so real and extremely scary! Will never try it again!

Pretty much sums it up for me too, I use to have OBE's more than lucid dreams though years ago when I was younger. They were usually short lived and involved me freaking the hell out and waking up. For the most part, everyone I've met who claims they can do it on command are either full of shit or trying to sell a shitty book (robert bruce anyone?).

I only had one lucid dream in my life when I was younger. The dream was something like I broke something or damaged something valuable and everyone was saying how I was going to be in trouble and I was just like nah, this is a dream, no biggie. And I woke up and I was like wow that's a little strange lol.
