Money can control another's fate/life. You can control your fate and life if you have the money.
When you're holding a job, you are being controlled by your boss. And if you're in desperate need of money, that's worst.. you are as good as a slave. If you have huge debts, that's worst. You're fucked.

If you have money, you control your own fate and life. You can do what you want. You are protected. The law sides you as you can hire top notch lawyers and even the government can side you. Look at those rich bastards whom broke the law, they usually have a lighter sentence than humble and not-so-wealth-to-be people.
People whom said, "Money can't buy everything." That's pure B.S. They are just being ignorant and using that to rationalize or feel better for themselves. Stop being in denial and accept the ugly truth.
You can donate your time to charity to help out, but with money you could have hired numerous workers to donate their time. With money, you could buy stash of supplies and food and send them to Africa to feed the starving children.

Recently, my friends and I were looking for social escorts (for the fun of it) and guess what? A huge amount of females actually responded to me. Most of them were okay with sex. Most disturbing of all, some of them were as young as 15-17. Some of them even had boyfriends but they were willing to do it too... just for money. I can't imagine if they were my girlfriends, seriously. Everyone has a price.

That may be true for most of the world, but man, there's whole communities of people who live by trade/barter and love. Which is where it should be I think. Most will disagree because some sort of advertisement made them want to purchase expensive things, but with love and goodwill, many good things can be achieved.

Suppose you 're on vacation on a village that has average salary of $50/month. Out of nowhere, you 're a rich guy that pumps money in the local economy. Does the income of the villagers increase? Sure.​

Statement B: A society can increase its wealth by increasing it 's wealth production.

That 's pretty self explanatory but for those uncertain it sums up to: "Produce more weed, you 're happier" ​

Statement C: Important increase of production can only come via technology

This is easy to understand, since we breathe technology. You were doing X comments manually per day, then SB came out and you did 100.000*X You still worked the same hours, but your output increased.​

Statement D: Technology comes from capital accumulation

This is the core of the subject. Read it again and then once more. We needed A,B and C to understand the concept, but this is the crucial thing. You need capital to produce and invest in new technology. You can't get new generation equipment on your factory without it.​

So, capital accumulation is a good thing for everyone, although the capital is not accumulated by everyone but only by a few (the rich guys).

This does not mean that humans can only live in capitalism of course. Capitalism has been around only for a few centuries. We did survive before, but I 'm sure few of us would prefer to live in as serfs in a medieval village.

earning money is different from wealth creation. However keeping money and wealth aside. Let us see what controls our life.

When it comes to animals the sexual urge, hunger and fear of enemy controls their life. All the animals are bound by these, though motherhood behavior (briefly when the babies are extremely small) of animals are a bit different, it is coded in their dna so that their kind can thrive in this world. However after the babies grow up, and when they get the urge (be it sexual or hunger) they have an intercourse with their own kids/parents and they fight with their parents/kids for the food.

There is a bit of that remnant dna in us as well and that is why you see people go by urges and let things and habits control them. However evolution has given us the ability to control our lives rather than letting some external things or internal urges control us. Money is one such urge which man created recently, drugs and other bad habits are also there.. You have just seen how money is controlling certain people, and if you explore more you can see how drugs control certain people, people can die for drugs, and there are worse cases who are controlled by the urges to see blood and so on.

The point is we have the liberty to control over lives, but we have the lamb mindset and we unconsciously want some external factor to control us. The very essence of life in many spiritual paths is to take control of our life and to accept responsibility of our life. There are people who despite just managing two meals a day are living happily with virtues and controlling their life. So no excuses for being controlled by money.

Now coming back to money and wealth, if we closely watch the ecosystem, mother nature has given us more than sufficient resources to live happily, there is enough resource in this world to feed 7 billion more people, however the 90% of that resource is being controlled by 2% of the people in the world. This is essentially the biggest mistake in the evolution of our societies. I am not being a communist here, and I don't believe in communism, because there should be maximum growth and for that communism should be abolished. However there should be a system, by which the uber rich should contribute back to the world which gave him all the resource to succeed. Any wealth more than what you want (even to live luxuriously) when people are dying out of hunger is obscene, there is no act of crime which is worse than this. Our society and especially certain religions played an important role in keeping the uber rich and the kings worshipful and irresponsible. That has to change.

When I was younger, I was naive. I was a naive little boy. I had a disney type, idealistic mentality. I never really thought about money. I believed that being a nice person would get you rewards, never lying, doing what you are passionate about, taking girls out on many dates before putting hand down pants, and all that. Then something happened which made me realize the truth, money makes the world go round, without it we can do very little, and people are desperate to get it. If you have no money you are stuck, you have no leverage, businesses and most people won't want to deal with you, hell even my family didn't respect all my hard work until they actually saw me making money from it, and that's my own family. I never used to think about the simple things, like how toilet paper costs money, until I moved out of my parents' house, and I had to buy my own. "I even have to pay to take a SHIT?!" I exclaimed in disbelief. If you're rich you may not be able to buy a girl's true affections, however you can basically buy sex and tell them to shut up and go away afterwards. Why, because you have loads of money, which is more scarce than sex. Many poor deadbeat dudes actually make girls genuinely fall in love with them, but they don't have much else.

A couple things money can't do, which is important:

If you have a serious health condition, you would do anything to just be healthy again. (Money can access healthcare, it's true, but for many conditions there is no cure)
If you are just a boring / odd in a bad way / spiteful / angry / hateful person. No money can make you an interesting person, although you can travel a lot etc., some people are just damn boring and no one likes them. That is tough to deal with especially when you have so much money but you can't seem to have anyone genuinely want to be around you if your money weren't there.

So, money can provide freedom but has its limits. On the surface, we are all fairly civil with each other.

Dig deeper and we're all greedy bastards - we have to be. Money = food, shelter, transportation, etc... --> survival

Blue collar workers tend to have a mindset that is along the lines of "I work hard for my money." Their perception of money is that it is all about trading sweat for money. On the other hand, there is another group that figures out that you invest money and time to make even more money. I think this is where the classes tend to clash. One guy busts his ass cleaning some place for 40 hours a week and he makes the same regardless of how hard he works. Another guy sits down at a computer and makes 30 times as much money pushing buttons and clicking a mouse... most times having spent a fraction of the time the other guy had.

I'm assuming most of the people reading this are business owners. We have to be greedy. We have to figure out how we can pay worker A to do X, Y, Z and that will produce something we can sell for a profit.


I'd like to say that we live in a world where money isn't everything. I'd like to say that our kids will grow up in a place where the world is about furthering our understanding of the world around us. I'd like to say that we could just forget about money and all get along... but we can't. We live in a world where money controls everything. All I know is that for a business owner, the mindset of "let's all get along and money isn't everything" - it's toxic to your business.

Not sure if you've heard of it, but kiva.org is a great service to give back through. No interest loans to people who need the money. These people pay it back over time and then you can put the money right back into the system and donate it to someone else.
