How do you guys build your sites?

Do you have Wordpress experience? It's easy to set up, and easy to change. Most hosts have a one-click install for it as well.

No, this the first time i want to build my own site. Wordpress is for blogging, correct?

Most commonly, yes. However, you can do pretty much anything that you want with it.

Another option that is fairly easy to learn and customize is Joomla. Takes a little more time out of the box, but works for a lot of people.

Thank you genosse.

genosse gave great advice. WordPress is what I use on all my sites simply because of the fact that most hosts include a one-click install which takes around 30 seconds to set up. Free, quality WP templates are everywhere but the premium (paid) ones are also good if you want your site to really stand out. The back end is simple to use for newbies.

If you are building an e-commerce site, I recommend Volusion. Great customer service and you can do everything big time e-commerce sites can do.

1.Buy a Host i recommend Hostgator Or any other With fantastico Support
3.Go to admin panel -> Click On fantastico -> Wordpress -> Bang New website just in a minute.

You can build a site easily in wordpress through fantasitico, but if you are trying to make a real site I would recommend you create the site with standard html. You can use dreamweaver or higher a mini site creator to make the site for you. I recommend you checkout instantminisitemoney.com as its free and shows you exactly how to create websites.

Would you guys recommend Wordpress for a niche site with adsense?

Yes, I recommend wordpress. Its so quick and easy, and you can do anything you need to with a MNS. As far as a theme goes I suggest you do a search for Flex squeeze Nulled here on the forum, its my favorite theme by far, must customizable theme ive ever seen.

EDIT:
Since you are new, you probably arnt aware of the plugins either. Here are a few plugins I like to use, and what they are for:

Contact Form 7 - To add a contact page easily
Easy Privacy Policy - Easily adds the Adsense privacy policy to your site
Platinum SEO Pack - For your onpage SEO
Simple Google Sitemap XML - Makes a sitemap for you (I suggest the sitemap being located on the root, not in the plugins folder where it automaticly puts it)
Ultimate TinyMCE - Good for extra functions when adding your posts (tables, fonts, font sizes)
Quick Adsense - Easily add adsense to your page ( most themes can also do this, but Quick adsense gives a little more flexability)

I also suggest that you check out statcounter.com so that you can track your sites traffic.

A plugin to do backups would also be a good idea, as Wordpress sites sometimes get hacked (not very often, but it does happen). I had a site go corrupt on a WP update before also, so I was glad I had a backup. I use a plugin called WordPress Database Backup for that.

Great advice here. I also use most of these plugins, and have found a few now that I should be using. I also use All-In-One SEO pack.

Another thing that I do whenever I set up a Wordpress site is set the sites that are pinged whenever updates are made.

Go to Settings -> Writing and you will see the update services box at the bottom. I add the following:

Code:
http://api.moreover.com/RPC2http://bblog.com/ping.php
http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
http://ping.weblogalot.com/rpc.php
http://ping.feedburner.com
http://ping.syndic8.com/xmlrpc.php
http://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2
http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
http://topicexchange.com/RPC2
http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates
http://xping.pubsub.com/ping

If anybody uses any others, I'd be interested to add a few more.

This is exactly how I set up my sites. Simplest way out there.

Would you guys recommend Wordpress for a niche site with adsense?

Definitely. It's the best. I have a WP site that is all content with some AdSense in different spots (which was integrated in a matter of seconds by downloading a WP plugin). Site makes around $1 a day and I barely promote it...actually, I don't promote it at all to be honest with you other than put up a new article every now and then.

Wordpress. Simple to install. Simple to update. Thousands of plugins. Simple to customize if you want. I use wordpress for all my sites.

I think the Internet is like 90% WordPress now. That's how good it is!
