GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

you are probably right.
Except to your B) because the links are on site with a domain PR of 1 or above so, probably most of them will only be PR0 or PR N/A.
Only the highlighted project with the 24 verified links uses "PR of page".
But slow and steady is fine with me. I just need to find out what the best settings for my machine are: Core i7 (2 cores) @3.4GHz, 2Gig RAM and 100 Mbps internet connection.
How many threads would you suggest? I have set it to 45 to 50.
And I should try and add all the other platforms, since I only use blog comments and trackbacks - so I am missing out on many good links.
Still not sure what's the best way to setup a project with all plattforms and how to come up with content for all these plattforms as quickly as possible.
Own comments - do you really sit down and write 20 to 50 generic comments by yourself and then spin them?
But I get the feeling I am overthinking the whole content creation thing.

Yes - I meant domain PR rather than URL.
I write 10-15 generic comments and then spin them. It takes 10 or 12 minutes at the most using a spin tool (so there's no "do you really" about it - it's quick and simple). It offers about 8 million variations. Plenty for a few tens of thousands of links

The video is just a quick version - about 3 minutes to make. I normally spend 10-12 minutes on them and they spin to about 2500 words. Many read ok as well and get published even on moderated sites.

If you scrape for a platform using the provided footprints, but only want to post to those with a domain of pr1 and above, are you required to do a PR check within scrapebox and filter out those below, or is it simply a case of importing all of those scraped links, and then specifying within GSA, that it only posts to those of domain PR1 and above?

You just import into GSA. GSA handles the PR checking and OBL counting for you automatically.

thats a relief as checking pr with scrapebox on my pc takes forever!!
I am doing the gsa trial and I am running it from my home pc. I have fios from verizon. I am losing internet connection after about 10-20 minutes of running. If I stop gsa and reboot my router then internet connection is restored. Internet works perfect until I try to run gsa again and build links. I can rdp into other computers in my home network after I lose internet by ip address though but I am unable to go to websites or anythign requiring a dns lookup.
I have never had issues with my isp before running gsa. Is this because gsa is verifying links through pop accounts too quickly? What could verizon isp be checking, in terms of traffic from GSA, to kill my ip/dns ability? I see that some people in this thread run gsa on a vps - are one of the reasons for using a vps because home isp's are smart enough to monitor this type of link building traffic?

npaterson how many connection threads are you running?! I think you should lower the number till it works perfectly. That's the reason I think internet gets disconected.
VPS are great. I use VPS for all my marketing needs because are connected to a way better internet connection and can run 24/24h without making any noise in the house etc.

Get a VPS. You can find some as cheap as $10-20/month that will run GSA just fine. I am using a barebones VPS with only 1GB of RAM but running it 24/7. It's not the fastest but it works.

I just ran out of credits in DeathbyCaptcha. I was running GSA SER in a VPS at 50 threads. I wanted to stop SER while I buy more credits. But the pop-up for captcha-solving kept coming no matter how many times I cancel and I could not close GSA SER. Anyway, I didn't know how to access task manager in a VPS and I messed up by disabling the LAN connection of the VPS trying to stop the pop-ups. Needless to say, I now cannot access my VPS at the moment. Wew... Really need to save to CaptchaSniper.

Ok that sounds like a doable thing. I just thought that you need to write 50 to a 100 generic comments in order to start and I thought ok that is what Sven did already so why bother, but as always Scritty you are absolutely right.
Here is another one: Let's say you have a small niche website for the term "fast way to lose weight" (just an example), how would you setup the keywords and the anchor text fields. Maybe S4ant0s can answer as well. I just don't get how you setup these two fields - some say scrape hundreds some say just take a few since GSA scrapes itself.
If you could just explain quickly that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
I can't answer for them, but personally, in relation to the keywords, i use scrapebox to scrape for as many related keywords as possible, and use these. You'll usually get over 300 words easily. I also check the box so that the program also finds related keywords. The way i see it, the more keywords the program has access to the better, so i want to help it along by providing it with some also.
In relation to the anchor text, I'm also interested in what others are doing to successfully rank sites post panda. I was in two minds as to whether only providing one anchor text would be ok, as the program sometimes builds links that don't make use of your anchor text, sometimes blank, sometimes your username, sometimes url etc, so would be very interested to hear from others on what they do, that actually gets them ranking in the top 3 positions within google post panda.

If you go to the global options menu where you actually set your captcha provider if you uncheck the option that says, "finally ask user if everything else fails (else the submission is skipped)" then it won't have any pop-up boxes even if it runs out of captcha.
Also in case you haven't figured out how to open task manager in the VPS you just right click on the toolbar at the bottom and select "start task manager".

Hello , first of all I would like to say thank you to all fo you that helped me to go trough this fantastic tool and to use it in an effective way . I ve some doubts that I would like to share with you hopefully you can give me an answer. Here are my questions :
1)When I write content in the forum field, should I embed the link there ? Or maybe GSA will post it automatically? And if I ve to embed the code it will be html or ?
2) When I write content for the wiki , should I embed link inside the content? and if yes is it html or?
3)s4nt0s's could you share a new screen caps of your most recent settings ? Since at GSA they updated a lot it could be nice to get some new settings ..
4) Last : the 2 additional links fields , they are used for what ? Thank you in advance for the answer and I will never thank you enough for those so informative topics!
