Because it spams the section with junk threads when it's really for black hat seo and not giveaways... should be a giveaway section.

People are too fast to give "thanks" for the free stuff, even though those people don't deliver. If it's free, then it's most likely crap imo. I'm also sick of the "watch my 12 year-old journey to $$" threads, but at least some of them are useful/insightful.

OP might be mad because he had never win on one of those free giveaways. :) they can put "give thanks or rep" "thanks and rep appreciated" and other similar phrase on their thread, but in the end its up to you if you will give in on to what they are saying. What im asking is look into the big picture. They are trying to give something. but you can always appreciate it or just leave their thread without leaving a message. Don't stress your self too much. life is short to worry on some stuff that are not worrying. :)

tose threads are my pet hate - they always die before going anywhere

its a problem, mainly because those of us that are serious about this are coming here to refine our game, learn more and see other's opinions
you chumps asking for handouts need to gtfo
also, those guys giving those handouts, they aren't motivated to do a quality job
they are taking your niches
and using you as guinea pigs to test new unknown techniques on
so yeah, keep using them, and keep whining every time a new update comes out and ur shit tanks

I am not really against free giveaways , even when most are marketing hook, which is OK. While most freebies might be great , I am worried that there could be few bad apples like monk says but mostly the problem I have though is the space issue. There should be seperate category for it. Maybe we can bring it up with admin? That way everyone should be happy, no?

Yup! sounds like a good idea, i'm going to suggest it.

Dammit, how do you post larger pictures? This is lame.

I second that. I posted on some threads on freebies and take note that I met some of their requirements but never actually get anything from them. That's what happens most of the time. Disappointing though.
This. I've given up on responding to the new raft of freebie threads for this reason.

Giving something for free is great but the thing here is that 80% of them dont actually give anything. They just go for rep and thanks then let the thread go. They let it be bumped and they'll get thanks and rep even if the freebies were done week or months ago. Im not mad or anything but atleast someone could check on a thread like that and close it maybe? To avoid rep and thanks abuse?

I definitely see zuckerberg's point here. Some people are just missing the bigger picture in those "free" giveaways.

One example I can cite from the past would be the 'backlinkprodigy' guy who offered "free" back-links, only to redirect the people from here onto his shitty forum, and later scam them with fake promises.

There could be something really useful too, but it's up to the user to do his due diligence.

Nice suggestion of having a separate GiveAway section -- wonder how quickly those first post free giveaways will go away?:D
