Anyone else noticed? can see at least 9 threads in this section offering a backlinks for free basically asking for thanks and rep..

Quite annoying seeing as they're knocking out all of the help / question threads..

Afaik the "thanks" feature is to encourage people to be helpful, sounds to me like that's exactly what's happening.

No the thanking and repping is not compulsory no one should ask for it.

if you appreciate something you should thank imo. thats what people do.

This forum is too big and it likes givers as much as takers and simple-watchers! Also, those guys are doing great in a great way so pls stay off their back. :)

Anyway, their practice is much better than newbies spamming needlessly, uploading more than 100 pointless posts per month, most being just useless one-worders, meaningless one-liners, well, almost useless stuff. **cough, cough** hehe

So, Chill and Cheer up! :)

BTW, can someone explain to me why the heading of this post shows
[h=2]"Re: Thanks" ??? :D[/h]

Some people really are not too bright are they? What annoys me about "some" people who give "free" things away is they are simply doing it to find profitable niches.

Well, isn't that all about doing IM / online business? -- giving away something to get something equally valuable? Or do you want them to simply give, give, give, and give? Also, they aren't 'demanding' everyone to get their free-services, do they?

Of course I don't know who they are but I would thank them if they are giving me something free... and I'd be cautious not to expose my main money-making niche to anyone so easily... I'd better pay someone whom I trust that he/she will keep my secrets very close to his heart!;) Those are the people whom I'll fully trust with my best sites...

I was not saying they did demand anyone to take their services, but what I do notice quite a lot is that people join and the moment they join they are offering something crap like wiki links for anyone. It is just worth bearing in mind, if you have a good niche, to protect your niche from these people. The service would not exactly be free if they are going to copy your site and niche and a couple of wiki links is not worth a couple of grand a month.

Hey Mark,
Are YOU in bad mood because the shares are taking a tumble? lmao
Chill a little..... it is only moving the free line....
it is what marketers do.

i agree with zuckerburg. giveaway threads and annoying. they get bumped over and over again long after the giveaway is done. they are clutter in the forum and are often done with alterior motives. a separate section for them would be nice along with the ability to block them from the front page.

I second that. I posted on some threads on freebies and take note that I met some of their requirements but never actually get anything from them. That's what happens most of the time. Disappointing though.

I replied to a number of threads where the OP was offering free stuff like keywords, backlinks, you name it, but I never got anything from them.
