My site attacked by BingBot?

Yestoday my hosting account was suspended because of site performance problem, I check webstats today there are more than 60,000 visits in 24hours all from bingbot , I checked the IPs and yes they are from Microsoft IPs so should not be fake, right?
I noticed my sites very slow 4 days ago but I thought it was server performance problem and didnt pay attention to it.And I can only see one day website stats, So it means Bing has been attacking my site more than for more than 4 days.

Why bing keep attacking my site?Anyone has same experience and idea?And how can I solve this problem?I don't think it is good idea to block Bingbot right?

I believe it has nothing to do with niche. Actually my site only has only about 200pages indexed on bing.

Thanks, this seems helpful,I will try it if account reactivatived. But last time when my account suspended bluehost said "will close your account next time"!

Since it is regular, is it any luck we can tell Bill Gates that he wasted too much money to hired a stupid guy to have made a stupid search engine bot for him?

First off, your host was totally unprofessional if what you are stating was in fact the case.

It is no secret that DDOS attacks, spam mail, clandestine viruses, aberrant bots and noxious bots are all a part of the landscape of Internet Marketing.

Any host that is not prepared to deal with and address those issues is not worthy of hosting any account. What are they going to do? Kill each and every account that comes under some sort of an attack?

I have a number of hosts and have had the same thing happen with Powweb, Hostgator and others over a six year span. In each case it was a faux bot slash spoof bot and in each case the host dealt with the issue professionally.

That said, you need to go back and closely examine your stats. It's almost guaranteed that was not the actual BingBot.

You likely had some other issues that you overlooked such as red lining inode usage, over consuming CPU resources, using iffy scripts, or exceeding storage or bandwidth usage issues.

Looks like it is just a bot trying to hack your server. It's spoofing the bingbot User Agent string just for camouflage.

All bingbot accesses to my sites start first with requests for robots.txt then crawl from the index page. They certainly don't try to access php login pages and they all originate from Microsoft-owned IP addresses

OK,please check attached picture, from what I checked it was IP from Microsoft as mentioned aboved. I can understand easy to make a fake BingBot but according to my knowledge it is not possible to make a fake Microsoft IP,right?

In my opinion Bluehost should already been one of the most safe one,right?

Actually this site or this hosting account is not the important one for me, but I need to know how to prevent this happen again.

Even i think someone's spoofing bings user agent, DDOS'ing your server so that they can hack it.
