[TD="class: alt1, bgcolor: #F5F5F5"]Hi ive been doing KW research. One site that im trying to outrank is an Amazon page.

My question is if the backlinks to the Amazon sub page are Amazon also. Does this count a External or Internal BL?

Just questioned it because I was told that Google ranks pages?

Thanks

Yes, Amazon can be beaten. Often the pages ranking have no external links.

If one Amazon page is linking to another that is an internal link.

Just questioned it because I was told that Google ranks pages indivdually?

Thanks

Even if say Amazon/pets has say 4 links from PR 4/5 so on Amazon pages?

Yes, it can still be beaten. However you should weigh the cost to benefits if you've been stuck behind it for a while.

If you are talking about a specific product or set of products, then yes, it is generally quite easy to outrank Amazon.

If you are talking about broad categories, then you can pretty much forget it.

Thanks for the replys. Im trying to outrank with exact match. Its also products from Amazon im promoting.

This is the funniest thing I have seen all day :) In all seriousness though, this is the mark of a noob although I'm sure it is an easy enough mistake when posting here. Now that I found and read the actual post from the OP, I would imagine it is technically possible to outrank Amazon for certain keywords. It would largely depend on the specific keywords and how much traffic they already receive in total. I would also think this would take quite a lot of promoting, patience, and a few black hat techniques that have been chosen carefully.

Is is just me, or can amazon be beaten pretty easily at any product page..whats the problem ;o

The white background is hurting my eyes 0_0

But anyways, yes it can be if you plan out everything and have a huge budget to promote.
