How can anyone with a brain invest in a company that paid $300 million in cash+ stock for a company that doesn't even have a revenue model? Facebook is probably going to pay at least the same or more for opera software company,which only turns a $14 million profit a year.

Seems that all of this might just be a hoax to get some misleading information spread but if it's true I really do not want this to happen. I was actually thinking of moving from FF to Opera because it's pretty awesome, and it seems to be slightly faster. I use opera every now and then but mainly stick to FF just because I've been using it for the past few years. Opera is nice, slick and fast, if FB take over, it'll suck.

The article from pocket-lint was deliberately written as half a question - thats what media does when ass cover is required. Otherwise, many respected magazines (such as pcworld) seem to trust that source, as they reprint the story.
