It's amazing people's ignorance about Iran, why not read how the UK + USA removed their democratically elected leader in the 50's for oil and replaced him with a dictator (Shah) who tortured his people, the people rose up and kicked him out and the Islamists filled the political vacuum, still not done, the USA sponsored Saddam Hussain to attack the Iranians who have not launched a war of aggression for hundreds of years, they are paranoid there for a reason...forget it, just keep watching Fox news.

You seem to miss the difference to internal political struggle and a CIA backed coup, Mosaddegh was elected (more democratically than GWB) and the embassy staff were accused of plotting another coup (which they probably were) yeah lucky JC was president coz GWB would have caused WW3.

And why does everyone in the Mideast think Americans hate them? Because their leaders and clergy have been telling them that for their whole lives, that's why.

The truth is most Americans don't give a blind rats ass about any of you. Americans hate each other and people who are too slow in the checkout line, or someone who stops us from enjoying our TV shows a lot more that we hate you, or any other group of "you's" out there. You may have spent your whole life hating us, but we haven't spent a second thinking about you.

We don't hate you, we don't really give a thought to you in our whole lives until you start killing and taking us hostage. We do take that pretty seriously.

Blow your own buildings apart and kill each other all you want. Start killing us or our friends and we tend to get a little pissy.

The Mideast is the richest part of the world yet they let their own people in fine palaces with gold stacked vaults and obscene luxuries tell them that they live in squalor because of America. America buys what we need, if we were conquerors we would own France, Germany, most of north Africa, Italy, Grenada, Panama,Kuwait, North and South Korea and Iraq. We don't want you, your land, your stuff, or your problems, but we will buy stuff you sell if you have something interesting or useful.

We can't figure out if you hate Americans or just freedom, and we really don't care.

And by the way, America is a republic, not a democracy. GWB was elected according to the rules of a representative republic, not the rules of a representative democracy, and certainly not the kind of non-representative democracy Iran has.

It would not have been a World War anyway, not many countries would have sided, or will now side with Iran.
