I practice lucid dreaming, and it is incredible. The techniques really work as well.


The biggest author on the subject is a guy named Labarge I believe. You can find lucid dreaming and astral travel books all over torrent sites, so just go browse through them.

The easiest method is WILD. I learned it from LeBarge. Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Set your alarm around 90 mins earlier than when u usually wake up. Stay up around 30 -35 mins reading about Lucid Dreams or doing written lucid dream affirmations. No video, no TV, no computer (too much stim). Fall back asleep and your chances of having Lucid Dream are very high.

Thanks and Rep given. Concentrated amazing advice especially the warning against using drugs on the astral. Alcohol is a bad idea too. They don't call liquor "spirits" for nothing!

Astral travel is just dreaming. There is no astral plane.

The only difference is that you're awake in the transition to dreaming. So instead of going to a fantasy dream scape, it will feel like you're just getting up out of bed. I've done this, and after I get up, my room is almost the same but I noticed weird objects that don't belong in my room and outside on my balcony.

And when you go outside your "astral" bedroom and start traveling, you can create a world much like your own, or a fantasy one.

I've read this thread with great interest and it's brilliant that so many IMers have been involved with Lucid dreaming. I think it's representative of the kind of people we are. Willing to explore the boundaries of all fields - be it making money through tweaking marketing methods or expanding our consciousness by tweaking our minds! I've been interested in lucid dreaming since I was about 13, when I first read about it (I'm 29 now), but I only really got into it in the last year after buying Laberge's book. I've managing to achieve lucidity now, but fairly randomly - what works for me is looking at my hands in my dreams / looking at my watch. I'm also getting better at extending lucidity by spinning my body if I feel it starting to fade. It is the most wonderfully exhilarating experience anyone can have (on a par for me with my dabbling in DMT / Salvia in the past) and I recommend it to everyone. Thanks for the recommendation someone made about the Remee masks on here. I've grabbed one of the cool limited edition space ones. Can't wait till it arrives in July! I think it's going to really help increase the frequency of my lucid dreams
As for the metaphysical debate going on here about whether or not the astral plane is real / whether our consciousness is rooted in our biology or exists as a quantum field etc. Well the jury's out with me. All I can say is that there is a LOT more to reality than meets our everyday understanding of it and that if we have the chance to explore it all in exciting ways then that's something we ought to be doing. Even the skeptics!

I love this thread, but this topic should also be put into a group. I would love to talk more bout it, and personal experiences, but only with those who have an interest in it, its easier to have a conversation that is moving in a more beneficial direction without having to deal with debunkers when i comes to this IMO

I don't know man but apparently they call this the "blackout stage" where dream images interfere with your astral projection...

I've practised lucid dreaming for years. I have very vivid dreams and can recall 4 or 5 every night. I can usually become lucid a few times a week but can only retain lucidity for the entire period of a dream occasionally. It's very difficult, even with much practice. Without doubt the first thing I do every time is fly. Words can describe that feeling.

I was literally obsessed with lucid dreaming in 2015/2016. Had a dream journal and everything .
