Update:
ServantOfGod has sent me a PM saying that he don't have enough funds to pay me, but asking for my interest in settling things down for a payment plan.
I have asked him how he could start more threads and afford paying new guys if he don't even have $300 to pay me, and also asking for the proposal he'd like to discuss with me.
This is turning out to be a great frustration for me, especially when I am broke.. Geez

He was very diligent with his job, but in all actuality his work became useless due to the severity of the situation. So it was loose-loose for both us and Sampath. He knows a little bit about it but he does not know the extent. He is not the only individual on this forum, there are two other employees who were also affected.
However, we're slowly putting things back together, so Sampath will be taken care of. We're not out to scam anybody, especially not for free work.

So you are owning up to the fact that you did not pay out. But I think you need to realize that no matter how much money you claim to have lost, you need to pay your workers. It doesn't matter if "his work became useless" because he did exactly what you were paying him (or suppose to pay him) to do. You also said there are two other people who you didn't pay as well. What about them? When will they be paid?! It's hard to believe that someone able to lose 5 figures, didn't even have $300 to pay a worker in the first place...
p.s. It's not a loose-loose or even a tight-tight situation; "lose-lose" is what you were looking for I believe.

Sampath is a good guy and I will be contacting Sampath to settle this matter. I understand that he has gone this route due to lack of response on my part. I believe I can settle things with him because I think we're a bit cooler than this. Also none of that contact information is accurate.

Starve yourself and feed this guy! Thats YOUR job. Your workers needs are suppose to come before your own needs, because without them you would not make shit. So pay, its that simple. And if you can't afford $300 now then you never could. And thats what it really is.

Yea.. If they want regular money stream, they should work hard for it. This forum is full of knowledge you just go to a thread and read. In 1-2 months you should learn something that would make you started.

...so often people complain about workers they hired - and i guess with a reason. and then you read this thread from a guy who seems (as i do not know him) to want to work really. even tried to bring in skills not really asked for and stuff - just to sit there in need of money he worked for.
it`s a shame.
more sad to see servantofgod doesn`t even have the balls to stand up in publicity and discuss and work this out here somehow. i have seen lots of shitlist-threads where people owing someone money sort things out and were given a chance even if they made a mistake - as the community here is really an outstanduing one.
@OP: i am sorry i cannot do anything to help you as i am in a critical situation myself. if i could i would. i hope things will somehow work out for you (and fast) and you do not get discouraged by this as it seems you are a good guy.

Yes buddy, you know what. I am afraid that I may have to open a couple more threads in this section. There's this another guy who's been hiding for the past 15 days without paying me $200, and one more guy who stays online all the time but not responding me or paying me $150.
$300 + $200 + $150 = $650 over all. Oh man, sometimes that the level of tolerance for an ordinary good guy like me. I work my ass off for these guys, staying up all night (I am from India but I was working late nights so that I can work along with them and discuss things over)
I have got hardly $50 in my bank account which I have to live on at the moment. Why do these people run away after getting their work done? I have been sending emails to them once every day but getting no response.
Man it sucks. I don't wanna get kicked out of my place for not paying up the rent

Hey narayanana86, next time make the person go through eLance. They hold the payments in escrow so you get paid, you can also have them pay you at certain milestones. I hire all my contracted employees through elance, and I usually release milestone payments a little early just in case something happens that would make me unable to release it on the exact day.
Don't ever do work based on someone's "word", you can't pay your rent with that.

...now i get a better picture of your situation. you`re right - that plain sucks and has got nothing to do anymore with a level of tolerance. you delivered work and therefore should be paid.
counting the fact that you are in urgent need of money - you should act fast now. provide proof and list them.
whats wrong with those people...
...hiding behind their accounts just not responding. such people will never run a proper buisness in any way. do they really consider scamming as blackhat? or is it because he is indian? do they think they can easily mess around with guys like the OP?
don`t they care that people need to make their living somehow and they depend on what has been dealed out and that it may have serious consequences on the other side?
