Services with no Anchor Diversity

So ... if I owned a RSS news feed distribution site that has 5 million inbound links, over 3.5 million visits a month, and could get a link into the system with 10 Anchor texts (Can get programmed to 50 or more) to randomly rotate on all the sites/pages, this would be of interest? ;-)

also

even if you did use many different services (which i fully agree you should) each focusing on a different set of keywords you still wouldnt have a natural anchor profile.

When a client comes on board with me and I look at their anchor profile, and im talking about clients who have had no SEO, just natural backlinks, they have literally hundreds and hundreds of anchor variations, this would be very difficult to achieve even using 10 different BST's.

lets say you had 10 services each focusing on 2 keywords each building you 2000 links per month each and you swapped the kw's around each month for 6 month

thats 120,000 backlinks with only 120 anchor variations.

do you think that would look natural?

Simple answer, no.

If there was a 30% raw url and generic anchor text ratio I would say yes.

In your example, I think it is a big mistake build a certain number of links per month. It would be more natural if it was inconsistent. Say 2,000 this month, 1,000 next month, 1250, the month after, etc..

With that much anchor text diversity, they wouldn't be coming to you if they were ranking, would they? ;)

If you want that much anchor text diversity, your best solution would be to get the tools and build the links yourself, period.

sounds good...not sure I know what you mean though.

would the anchors be permanent on a page or would they rotate across pages or would the anchor rotate, can you explain a bit more please.

Exactly. There is almost no service that allows more than 2 urls and 3 kws per url.

Everyone focuses on links from this platform, that platform but no one talks about inner backlinks (multiple urls) and different anchor texts.

I think the main reason for this is because some idiots try to spread a small package over like 50 URLs/Keywords and then complain when they don't get huge results.

I said this from the start. It would be best to just ignore the link providers angry responses in this thread as they are somewhat biased.

The problem is, a lot of the link services cost so much that it eats up the entire SEO budget for 1 site. So a lot of people have no choice but to buy the service and that service only, because they have no more money left for anything else. There will be very little diversity resulting from that.

Another problem is that, if services offer URL and anchor diversity, they will have to spread their links out, and hence get less results. Less impressive results to post on their sales thread means less sales, less impressive reviews, and in turn less sales. Sales is what drives them, the services don't give a flying fuck if your site is hit by Penguin as a result of their activity.

Another problem is that you don't know WHERE your links are being placed. They could be placed within irrelevant spun content (supposedly something targeted by Penguin) or on pages with lots of spammy links, etc. You just don't know. It's a very unsafe way of getting SEO done on your own site.

The safest way is to just DO IT YOURSELF. You have your own interests at heart. You know where you're posting your links, you know to diversify anchors etc.

A lot of link services will just lead to a penalty if you target one anchor. I don't know about you but I'm not about to pay 200 bucks for the privilege of being slapped by penguin.

What should link services do? They should find a way to get RESULTS for multiple URLs, multiple keywords for a reasonable price. But of course, this is difficult and not profitable for them, so they stick with 1 keyword, 1 url which can punish sites but is very profitable. It's all about greed and less about concern for customers' sites.

That's only a part of the problem. What about when you get 50 keywords that are in different topics. You have to make different text for each one or you going to start facing quality problems again. And they aren't cheap, especially if they are in spintax.

The only solution that is working for me is to limit the keyword and add LSI + generic ones when I'm doing the packages.

I hired a writer and added a huge amount of really good content.

and I diversified my anchors.

then used Syndd to socially promote all the content and then plugged in Only Wire.

and did a decent press release.

were you effected by penguin at all?

also, in only wire did you use the option for "switch to advanced post" when posting a post?

Natural Backlinking? Who can do that? Who can Kill Panda & Penguin? Tell me... :)

Well I can offer wiki links + blog comment service with unlimited urls and keywords, intend to upgrade to JV so what other ideas u guys can think about? and roughly how much u going to pay for this service?

Also, here is a link to a thread I started about interlinking vs outbound links in an authority site: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-internal-linking-structures.html#post4230931

the thread didn't get very many responses but I believe interlinking within an authority site and outbound links are very important...if anyone has any ideas on this it would be appreciated...

i have NOT done this up to this time, but over the next few days we are going to go through our blog posts and heavily interlink and add relevant outbound links heavily to see what type of results we get...i will let you know how it goes...

have you ever noticed how much searchengineland does this? if not, check out this blog post by danny sullivan and you can see how much he does this: http://searchengineland.com/google-talks-penguin-update-recover-negative-seo-120463

he adds a ridiculous amount of interlinking within his site and a good amount of outbound links...this seems to be key to an authority site and google seems to like this...

and even if you go to matt cutts blog, he has a large percentage of OBLs per post...this seems to give authority to your site if you link to other AUTHORITY sites...and i purposely put AUTHORITY in all caps b/c it only helps you if you link to other sites who are considered an authority...

this is not something that is new, but this is something that i overlooked when i built my authority site and this might help tip a site from being penalized....do i know this to be fact? no, but i am trying something that might help and this post might help others with authority sites...

Ok, SEO service providers can easily accept hundred keywords, it's nothing hard, they will just spin it and that's it.BUT, what to do with the article? When client provides 100 keywords and they are all different like "auto insurance" "life insurance" "make money online" "ugg boots". What to do with the article? It means a lot extra work and more money to spend by seller.

It is just easy like that:

Many links with just 1 anchor will give you a quick ranking gain (untill penguin hits your face).
Result1: Serp Movement
Result2: Exticed review about the serp movement
Result3: More orders.

For many sellers it is not about YOUR success and YOUR site, it is about to prove that their services provides effects and rushing orders in. They dont mind if your site goes down the river in a few months as meanwhile the order flow continues.

I used to be an BST addict and bought and bought and bought for me and my clients. Now I stick with two services at the moment the one from Nicolax and Caleb Mann as their offer up to 50 anchors. From time to time I purchase a "normal package" to link with the sitesname but I am think this is a bit burned money.
The recent changes shows clearly which providers are interested to gain you long term results and which are out for quick money, and repeating themselves, preaching "you have to buy other services, too - we are not responsible. We are just offering the cream of the cake". Guess what? I have better things to do, than purchasing hundreds of BSTs just for anchor diversity. I just use those who offer the complete package and I hope many other people will do it the same way to give this guys a knuckle sandwich for overestimating themselves. Supply & demand has to apply in the backlink services as well.

Yep, Diversity in general is a big factor right now, but it was important in the past, too. In addition people need to consider, that Google slapped a LOT of properties lately. A lot of Web 2.0s and social sites got de-indexed, concurrent with the devaluation and complete annihilation of public blog networks like ALN, BMR and several more.

If you add it all together: Missing onpage SEO + no linkvelocity + missing anchor & IP diversity + Linkloss due to de-indexation of aforementioned properties + overoptimization of kw targets + comparibly thin content + panda/penguin = Slap on your ass!

Of course this is all speculative, but what we've gathered, after we took a look at several of our own sites and sites of our clients: It's time to build your brand! Think targeted quality links like niche guestposts, relevant blog comments, perm. PR HP posts with relevant unique content, unique Web 2.0. mini-nets, your own private network (target anchors: focus on brand, raw url, main kw + longtail + variations and some generics) + lots and lots of anchor diversity (sitewide targeting with lots and lots of longtails and generics - you can do this with Wikis, anchored profiles (ExpressionEngine i.e.), bookmarks, social signals, image sharing & infographics or even semi-private blogposting) + keep the linkvelocity up (Drip, drip and drip even more! Or at least blast frequently) + get your frickin' onpage SEO straight! Make shit that actually has value. Use your beloved pump and dump MFAs (yes, they still rank fairly well and we have quite a few of those too) to finance bigger and better sites or to build your own priv. network.

Now back to the drawing board everyone! :)

This is right on the money. This is precisely what happens day in day out. Sellers of link services couldn't give two fucks about your own site or even whether their service works long term. They just want a big boost to get good reviews to get more sales. If their link building was that good, and most importantly, economical, they would have KEPT the techniques for themselves and used it to SEO their own sites. But since they are not that good, and not that economical at all, it is much more profitable to sell a service (ever wonder why 1 anchor only - because it's the least work and hence most profitable). If you want to SEO your own sites, you have to target dozens if not hundreds of anchor texts, and nowadays allow for a big "waste" linking with raw URLs or irrelevant generic anchor texts.

If a link service charges $200 or $200 a MONTH (and many of them do) for ranking just ONE anchor text, and they tell you for diversity to order other services not just theirs, how freaking massive do they expect your SEO budget to be? If you want to rank for 12 keywords at that price, you need $2400, now allow for 50% generic keywords / raw URLs and that price balloons up to $4800. Do services really expect you to pay this much? This is precisely why they are offering it as a service because at these prices, per 1 anchor text, it is so damn profitable.

If link building services are to offer any value in my eyes, they have to keep the customers' sites' interests at heart for the long-term, not just for short term good reviews. And they have to start offering MORE for the money. More anchor texts doesn't mean dividing the links between the anchors, as that won't get results they are looking for. It means providing significant results for multiple keywords.

Exactly i agree with you , i dont know any service that allows more than 2 urls and 3 kws per url.
