If you are really experienced in stock market (I think that because you said you've been in stock market for 8 years), you will know that $200 is a very small money. If you are really experienced in stock market, you will know the answer..
Options is a derivative form of stock, so first you need to have a skill to predict the underlying stock's trend. Then you have to choose the right options based on its delta, theta etc.
Since you will just throw your $200, I suggest you to try it but you have to know how to predict the trend (this is the most important) and be patient (why be patient? Because 20 percent profit of $200 is just $40, and you cannot expect an extraordinary return like 300 percent consistently)..
Many stock traders start trading options after they can make money consistently in stock market.. Novice traders are not recommended to try options.
