Hey guys lots of people asking me whether or not this service has been affected by the latest update.

As of now from my own personal sites (a few hundred) and monthly client sites I manage only 4 have been adversely affected, along with the usual slight ups and downs, which I guess is a pretty good percentage. Not sure why these dropped, could be coincidental. However the numbers show so far everything is ok (fingers crossed).

I do think that this really has more to do with on-site factors, though it seems like people are getting sledge hammered left and right with crappy sites and quality sites.

I do think that there will probably be at least a partial rollback of the algorithm if not a major tweak, as for now the results seem to be poor.

If you had a site that has been adversely affected, I would just say wait a few days until the "dust settles", as I don't see how Google could leave the results like this.

Anyway again just wanted to say it is business as usual here, and may the Google God's have mercy on your sites!

Hey guys as I am sure you have heard Google released it's Penguin Update this past week and it has seem to be wreakin havoc on the SEO World.

A lot of people have been asking me questions whether or not the service I offer has been effected by the update as well as my thoughts.

As of now, from what I have seen in my own sites (a few hundred) and ongoing clients that I manage (about 20), I have luckily not seen any adverse effects across the board. I have had a few sites (maybe 3 or 4) that have dropped off the map, but considering this represents less than 1% of the sites I have been actively tracking I can probably chalk this up to variance.

As an SEO service provider, I can say that I probably have access to more website data than most webmasters out there. Every month we process hundreds of orders here at Search Engine Rockstar, so we have the privilege of drawing our data from a larger sample size of sites from all ends of the SEO spectrum. With the latest updates from what I have seen luckily we have been ok.

Furthermore I am assuming since I have not received an avalanche of complaints from people who have ordered this service, that the initial feedback for the most part has been fine. That isn't to say that some of our clients have not been effected, but if the service we offer had adverse effects, I am assuming we would have received a mega-ton of email complaints as we do process hundreds of orders here each month.

As of now since the update is fresh and will most likely be seeing tweaks to it in the next couple of weeks, it really is too early to tell. We all know that Google seemed to have messed up this update axing high quality sites only to replace them with junk. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. If one of your quality sites got hit, just hang tight for a bit to see if things get sorted out. I suspect this to be the case, and hopefully it will be fixed somewhat over the next couple of weeks.

That being said since the initial response has been good, at this time there are no plans on changing the current package that I offer. This of course may change as I always keep up to date with the latest strategies, but as of now it is business as usual.

Hopefully things get sorted out over the next week, and may the Google Gods have mercy on your sites!

As far as what I am currently using to track my rank changes, I use another BHW service on here called SERP Buddy. It is a paid service though, but I do like it a lot and I highly recommend it.

As far as free rank trackers, I know that Traffic Travis does have a free trial that you can use to help you with that as well.
