This bullshit needs to be stopped. Someone needs to man up and talk to an attorney and bring a class action suit against these scumbags. That's the only thing that will stop them.

yeah what ever F*$K em everytime they suspend my account I just buy a new one lol and make a killing selling some more stuff. SO EgAy You can Oficialiy Go and have your self a nice thick one!:D

Hmm... I really can't understand why this shit happened! My dad sold some physical books sometime ago.. he did not have problems (he didn't sell that much though)

The only requirement was, he had to upgrade his personal account to a premium... so they can screw him with payments (ebay fees, and paypal fees)

I left paypal, ebay LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOng ago.. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG as LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG cat.. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

What other options are there besides paypal? epassporte, google checkout?

I too have been "banned from selling" on egay, and my gaypal has been limited, as of a month ago. I freaking hate them. They suck. There are many other ways to get money, gaypal is probably the SINGLE crappiest. Screw egay and gaypal. epassporte, egold, google checkout, etc. are the way to go. Dont support those fraudsters by giving them any more money in "fees".

I hope they go bankrupt.

Might work if you are in the US or UK, but if you are located in let's say Austria or Germany then you got bad luck with almost all compareable services.
I was not limited by paypal yet but I read so many stories about it that I do not feel well in using them as seller.

Solution: Get a US company, bank account and mail forwarding address. AFAIK anyone can buy via Google Checkout but only people/companies in the US and UK can sell.

I just searched on Google and found a few other options. Like authorize.net, trialpay.com, alertpay.com, digitalriver.com, moneybookers.com, 2checkout.com, e-junk1e (gaypal/google checkout/authorize/2checkout/clickbank) ...

Another option would be to get a merchant account directly with a bank so that you can accept direct credit card payments. But then again that costs a bit more and is quite a hassle.

That's strange, I've never had trouble with ebay or paypal. Maybe it's because I only use ebay for frontend, and then backend is where the real money is made, where the only fees I have are for paypal.

whatever that means.

Simple. Selling websites for example, you can sell them for about 10 bucks, maybe more if they're adsense/amazon/ebay ready. After someone buys, you and ebay go seperate ways and the real moneymaking starts. Now you can hit them up with hosting offers, offers to get their site ranked #1 for certain keywords, etc. That's true backend stuff, and it's how you can make hundreds if not thousands per lead.

To me, ebay is just a tool to generate targeted leads.

my ebay account is almost 10 years old and I have sold things for years. Recently they started pulling my auctions for dvd's and headphones which I purchase legit for resale. No explaination, no recourse, and nothing in the way of a real response. Just the standard crap of a vero rep. flagged my auction.
I'm am also done with ebay. Its a JOKE the way they run the business.

cuz there's not much more i can do except just pull my money out.
Unless you have a better alternative to ebay and paypal, you are making an emotional decision, not a business decision, which could be hazardous to your wealth. Their policies may be a pain and totally unreasonable, but they are what they are and unless you find a replacement, you're anger is making you poorer.

Ebay has become a huge shopping mall for the BIG Companies. They have been slowly squeezing out the little guy for awhile now. I used to sell DVD's thru a Chinese dropshipper. Made some cash doing that for about a year. But got found and the party was over on that deal. Luckily, I seen it coming and covered my bases.

I still use them for unusual "estate sale" type of niche items (antiques etc.) But the days for using Alibaba, or any new name brand product etc. are pretty much over for small ebay sellers. Classified ad section is where it is at right now. Only $15 for a 1 month ad and you do not have to use the ebay/PP checkout system.

I still use Paypal but keep the account drained daily except for $1-$200. Just enough to conduct monthly buss. After I transfer the money to my bank, then I immediately switch it to another account I have there. The account I used to be "verified" on has around $25 in it. Most of the time I just use my paypal debit card at the atm and get cash. He who has the cash makes the rules!

Stay light and mobile. Move fast. These are our greatest strengths against the Giants.

...wow they treat their merchant veterans like crap...

They have no reason not to. It's pretty genius when you think about it. They completely cater to the buyer, and disregard sellers. The result is an environment where the buyer is king, and will keep coming back and the seller has no alternative because ebay is where all the buyers are. It is getting to the point that most buyers will not want to do business with sellers who do not accept paypal, because as far as ease of use and security, everything else is inferior. If a buyer has any problem with a seller they can just file a dispute, and 9 times out of 10 they will get their money back.

This week's Gaypal crap-o-rama report

#1. A dispute was escalated to a claim for paypal to review....a dispute to which i had issued a refund for 3 days prior

#2. Gaypal wants delivery confirmation on an order made yesterday

#3. Gaypal won't resolve a dispute on a lady that will not go to the post office to pick up her damn package.

And, today Egay pulled an item off of my auction for 'excessive shipping fees' on an auction i used ebay's calculated shipping for.....in other words, i use egay's calculated shipping function for sellers to calculate their shipping fees....and egay says that's 'excessive'
