As Google continues to roll out G+, their plan is to allow big brands to have a major presence on Google+. Do a search for this, there are quotes from Page, Brin and others stating as much. And it makes sense, because it will mean more $$$$$ for Google.
But the driving force behind Google (at least on the surface) has always been providing the best and most relevant content in the search results. In this way, the "little guys" could be contenders by having great websites and doing SEO.
But if Google is really going to let big brands PAY to be a part of Google+, will this mean you will need to bring $$$ to the table to play the game?
Isn't that a catch-22, where Google claims they are all open source, do no evil, most relevant search results served up, yet they are going to be catering to big business?
