is a competition score of 20 high or low? I tried the SEO competition analyzer for a german keyword but KS took data only from english sites, although I ticked german/german in the language section to give me data for german sites?

It depends on the amount of search and profit potential. It's all in relation.

The keyword "6 inch black ford f150 lift pictures" may have a Competition Score of 5, however another keyword like "cheap dog toys" may have a score of 15. Yes, it's higher, but it also has a lot more searches, so it's worth it. I hope you know what I mean. Feel free to email me if you need help.

We'll be upgrading some of our functions this week or so, to increase speed and fix a certain bug. Ensure to update to the newest version when we release the update.

Just curious is the $97 a one time payment or a monthly recurring fee?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Josh!
I see that there is an option for a trial for a few hours/days. If you could provide me with a payment link for the trial, that'd be great :)

I've pmed you already, looking forward to buying the full licence

Regards

I would say the problem is your proxy and not the software for sure.
when we scrape data (not scrape keyword) ,there will be a lot of "searches" and g00gle is so damn sensitive ... The only solution that I'm aware of is to get good fast proxies ("g00gle enabled") and not to scrape data for too many keywords. By having good proxies , u should be able to minimize captchas.

Email me at support(AT)keywordscout.com and let me know if you got this fixed up, although I may have already talked with you, I'm just not sure if it was you or not.

Purchased a little while ago and love it, so simple and fast but powerful

but theres a few little things I feel which could help make it a bit more nicer?

1. Ability to filter based on search amount without having to re-scrape,
2. When we add a keyword to build our list from some how in the list mark the original keyword. So we can see the data for the "seed" keyword easily. As sometimes im just typing in ideas from my head to see what the data is but I have to dig down to find the keyword.
3. A way to reorder the columns, like having LMS results first and the domain stuff further to the right

Also im not sure if the "add to list" mode works correctly or if its just me? I had a set of keywords scraped using "broad" I wanted to add to the list the "exact" search amounts, but nothing changed in the list. Nothing was added the keyword amount stayed the same.

Hi supermat007,

1. We'll add it.
2. You want like the ability to star a keyword?
3. We'll consider it :)

Thanks

can any body tell me if this is better then long tail keyword tool???

Any updates on multi-license?
Still looking forward to it. I am tired of switching between desktop or laptop everytime.
Alternatively, you can limit to 1 session login at a time if you want. Anything that can make this easier.

Thanks

We are putting all our effort into improving the speed and stability of the program right now. We'll work on the license stuff later.

Can i test try out before I buy it?

PM me and we can agree on something.

I wanted to give my 2 cents on how I am creatively using keyword scout to my advantage since the Penguin update. Im sure everyone knows that google updated with the penguin update on april 24th, if you don't just search it on google or here on BHW. Well that messed up a lot of people. Generally it messed up rankings on peoples sites that looked unnatural. Natural = random.

One of the obvious indicators that floated to the top quickly is that penguin hit people who didn't diversify their anchor text when link building. I saw that in my personal research of penguin and it is being talked about publicly as well. For example, reference this article on SEOmoz:
http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/5-penguinfriendly-link-building-tips

Notice Tip#3 for Penguin friendly links.
[h=3]Tip #3 - Diversify Your Anchor Texts[/h]
This is something I have always bought into, but many didn't and they got hit. Personally none of my sites suffered. However I figured it was a great time to redouble my efforts. I had been working with 10-20 anchors on most of my main pages and sometimes 5-10 on inner pages, but keyword scout makes it so easy to do better.

If I have a site about cake and inner pages about chocolate cake and vanilla cake. I take my target terms for the chocolate cake page as my core terms. Then I put the phrase chocolate cake into keyword scout and just choose niche and scrape keywords. Then I grab all those keywords and add it too keywords for chocolate cake I already have. Then I probably have 30-50 good keywords for that url. Then if you want to control density you can in most link building programs. Like scrapebox if I wanted to have 80 of my anchors be on those main 5 keywords for the choc cake page, I would just put them in like

chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie

if those were my 5 core keywords I would go

chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie
chocolate cake
german chocolate cake
moist chocolate cake
fresh chocolate cake
chocolate cake recipie

Then include the rest of the keywords only once.

That way those core keywords are used more often. Obviously you would have to adjust the number of times you repeat your core keywords depending on how many 2ndary keywords you have.

Hopefully this make sense, but its really not hard to avoid penguin type updates and not be a target for google, and in the anchor text realm keyword scout gives you the exact keywords that google would want to see along with your primary keywords. Likely some or all of your primary keywords will be in that list generated by keyword scout, but thats ok, its the ones your not using that your after. Besides you might actually get traffic on these other keywords too, which would be even more of a win.

Problem here.

The software cannot scrape keywords from keyword relates/suggestion inside google.
Low searches keywords like 1,000+ do not appear like last version at all.

Did you enter the criteria of 1000+ searches?
