I'm trying to work on a system to automate my backlinking process as much as possible, but it is going to be a ton of work and a major time investment for me in the coming weeks. With that in mind, before I get too far along setting up my bots, I wanted to ask for some input if you guys think I should add/change anything. Obviously to get feedback, I need to share my system with you - feel free to use it on your own sites if you wish. I know this system will work because I have used it, with the exception of the Doc sharing and Podcast sites. I haven't done those before but figured they'd be another way to add just a bit more diversity. That said, if anyone has any input I may want to make some changes to it.
So this post is basically half guide and half request for help/advice.
The system works as is, but it takes a ton of time to do the parts that I don't have automated and efficiency/effectiveness is wasted on parts that aren't automated well. So the time I will spend setting up the automation process should pay itself back in time saved by having the whole system automated. Spending that much time though, I want to make sure I am setting up the best system I can.
Here's my diagram so far, I'll explain it more below:
This diagram is focused on ranking an inner page of an authority site, while also sending links to the homepage and another random inner page. But it could easily be slightly modified to work with a micro niche site or anything else. Here is the process as it stands:
STEPS 1-5: Preparation
1)Gather the URL for the Homepage, the page you are trying to rank for this keyword, as well as 10+ other random pages on the site. Keep those handy, we are going to be building links to all of these to help build up the overall authority of the site, but obviously the primary focus of the links will be the single inner page we want to rank.
2)Write or purchase an article (preferably 500+ words), do a high quality (manual) spin on it get it as unique as you can but make sure it is still readable. Shoot for at least 70-75% unique but make sure the keyword is protected from the spinning. This is worth spending some time on because it is the backbone of this link structure. Also write and spin multiple titles for the article I try to write at least 5 and spin them.
3)Create a .PDF, .PPT, and .Doc version of the article (each one a unique spun version). Put your raw URL link (no keyword) in the footer of each page of the DOC and PDF files and at the bottom of each slide of the PPT. These will go on the docshare sites later. This is actually the part I haven't done, but I think it will add some diversity plus it is something I don't think too many people are actively doing.
4)Create a couple of short videos, you can use pictures from your niche and slides from your ppt if you want. Either read a portion of your article, or talk a bit about it or whatever. It doesn't have to be long, just make something brief and related.
5)Either rip the audio from the videos you just created or create new audio files in the same manner - we'll use those for the Podcast sites. This is the other part I haven't personally done yet, but again I think it is worth the extra effort to add a bit of diversity.
Steps 6-13 Main Linking
6)Upload those videos to 10-15 different video sites, put the URL of the page you are trying to rank in the description, and save the URLs as well as the Embed code for each video.
7)Now set up about 30 Web 2.0 properties. I actually like to reuse these for multiple sites/pages/topics within the same niche. Ideally you don't want to always use the same 30 though, so if you do it again on a different keyword in the same niche, it can be a good idea to use 15 of the old ones and set up 15 new ones. Now you've got a pool of 45 accounts in that niche. After a while you will have a bunch of them set up and won't have to make new ones so much you'll just be able to pull a random set out of the accounts for that niche. To make them look more legit, add profile pictures, bios, change layouts, whatever is applicable to a fully fleshed out profile on that particular site - add it. Again, it's worth the time setting it up because these are going to hold a large portion of our link juice.
Use the a different spun variation of the article on each Web 2.0, and embed a video in most of them (I don't do it in all of them because that may leave too much of a footprint). Put two links in each of these articles. One links to the page we want to rank and the other links to either the homepage or one of the random pages on the site (spin the URLs to get a random one). The anchor text for that second link does not need to be your keyword, but should be something related to help build niche authority for the domain. Use the exact anchor text you want to rank for on the link pointing to the target page - these are a main focus for link juice and we will worry about anchor text diversity later.
This section will be my first priority while trying to automate it as it can be very time consuming.
8)Once the 2.0s are up, go ahead an upload the podcasts to 5-10 podcast sites, link them back to the target page
9)Upload the pdf, ppt, and doc file to 5-10 doc sharing sites again linking back to the main target page
10)Load up AMR and blast the spun article. The goal is to get about 300-500 live links right off the bat from auto-approve directories. More will come overtime, but try to get a list that will get you that many right away. Make sure you have a well-spun resource box. Put two links in the resource box
Link 1, should a related anchor text and spin in URLs for all of the Web 2.0s, Doc sharing, podcasts, and videos.
Link 2, is a bit more complicated, because we want to weight our spins so that one particular option gets chosen more frequently. This one will be linking to the homepage, the 10 random pages, and the target page, but we want to target page to get the most links and the random pages to get the fewest. Here's how to set it up, I'm representing the homepage url as HP, the random pages as R1-10 and the Target page as T:
{{{R1|R2|R3|R4|R5|R6|R7|R8|R9|R10}|HP}|T}
Set up that way, the Target page should get about half of the links, the home page should get about a quarter, and the other quarter is split between the 10 random pages. That's not the end of it though, I want to throw in a bit of anchor diversity here. So we'll do half anchor text and half raw URL:
11) While AMR is running, pull up BMD and bookmark your target page across 50-100 different bookmarking sites. Use some of the Pligg type sites, but mostly stick with the higher quality ones.
12) When AMR finishes, grab your live links from it, add those to your list of URLs from the 2.0s, podcasts, docsharing, and videos. Bookmark each of these 1-3 times each with BMD, user more of the Pligg/Scuttle/etc sites now. Ideally have a big list of sites to use for this to spread out the links. Don't worry about bookmarking each page on every site, just get 1-3 bookmarks for each URL on your list.
13)Set up a blast of 100-200 Wikis. Again, I normally stick with 2 links. One link goes to a Web 2.0 with a related keyword, and 1 link has the exact anchor text spinning the URLs from your site just like before (but without the raw url): {{{R1|R2|R3|R4|R5|R6|R7|R8|R9|R10}|HP}|T}
STEPS 14-17: SB and Xrumer blasts
14) Do a small blast of 100+ High PR blog comments with SB (with a small but nice auto-approve high pr list). For your KW, use mostly the main anchor text, but some variations that are still closely related. These don't have to be super high PR if you don't have a good AA high PR list. Just do what you can.
15) Another small blast of 250+ Profiles on high PR forums same basic idea as the SB blast in the previous step.
16)Finally, take all your articles, wikis, videos, podcasts, docshares, and 2.0s and blast them with Xrumer
17)Again take articles, wikis, videos, podcasts, docshares, and 2.0s and blast it with scrapebox.
Other stuff:
I'm considering adding more 'social signals' to it with things like pinterest posts, tweets, fb likes, G+, etc... but haven't really done much of that in the past. I'm just guessing it will weigh more heavily in the future and for now it would add more diversity so I may add some of that in over time.
This process definitely takes time and effort (thus the goal of automation), but you don't have to worry so much about getting wiped off the map the next time Google deindexes a blog network. Once you rank with this, you're there to stay...
This is BY FAR the longest post I've ever written on a forum, but hopefully you find it helpful. I've honestly never written it out like this so it even helped me see it a bit better even though I've worked on it... it's just different seeing it written out(the diagram at the top is recent too).
I'd love to get some feedback here. I also plan to use this as a bit of a journal while I'm working on automating this (I know that's a bit different than the $100 a day goals people normally set lol).
In the meantime, I'm gonna go crash - this took longer to write than I expected and it's been a long day...
So this post is basically half guide and half request for help/advice.

I try not to use the same sites over and over, so gather a list of each category (2.0s, Podcasts, Videos, Docshare) and pull randomly from it each time.
I don't worry too much about getting things indexed. The Xrumer/SB blasts will be found over time, everything else has links pointing back to it already to get it indexed.
I realize not all of the links pointing at the site are going to bring a ton of juice, but the goal with those is to add diversity.
