Hi,

Death By Captcha has been experiencing intermittent technical problems today and yesterday, which is resulting in very slow solve times and high rejection rates. We solved one issue last night, but a new issue surfaced this morning. We have isolated this new issue and expect to have the service running normally with-in the next few hours.

We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences as we realize that this is very frustrating for you.

P.S: Anyone who has been severely affected by this, please contact us either by PM or by e-mail. We'll check on your account, study your particular case and try to give you a compensation.

You wouldn't believe me, but for some reason I thought that I have replied to you already. I'm sorry for the mental lapsus.

This should work:

To have XRumer working with DBC, you will need to select antigate (anti-captcha) as your captcha solving service of choice, open and edit the anti-captcha.ini file with the following changes:

key=myDBCusername:myDBCpassword
host=api.dbcapi.me

By the way, James, your ReCaptcha manual solvers are still entering one word instead of two. It happens in about 20% of cases. Please monitor your manual solvers because we are paying for these incomplete captchas.

It's odd, as our old API domains are still active, so you shouldn't have had any troubles (although updating is the best choice).

About the ReCaptchas, I've seen this behavior to drop significantly lately. We'll keep fighting against it, but please take into account that if you report a one word reCAP. as incorrectly solved you won't be billed for it.

I find it impossible to report hundreds of CAPTCHAs manually. It happens about 20% of the time with ReCaptcha. Just have a check at what your workers are inputting, you will see it.

For me, the deathbycaptcha.com api address of old was completely unresponsive - it didn't even get my balance. The new dbcapi.me works like a charm.

Marking CAPTCHAs as incorrectly solved relies on your software (although you can mark them yourself through our website).

The software that you use must have the "Report as incorrect" function implemented. This function is responsible of telling our service if the CAPTCHA that we served was incorrectly decoded.

As stated in our website, the recent afternoon slowdowns our service has experienced are due to regional festivities in our worker's home countries. We predict slight and sporadic overloads through-out the server-time afternoon hours for the rest of the week.

Service level during non-afternoon hours is predicted to be normal.

Personally I went back to decaptcher. I gre tired of having to restart my senuke campaigns because DBC died again and Senuke is failing at registering etc. As decaptcha services sole goal is to reduce the amount of manual labor (having to enter captchas by hand) I found it annoying as hell to constatly check up on it. And the success rate... I can't say I've ever been looking at the pictures directly and seeing wrong captchas, but what I did see is senuke succeeding only after 3rd try to register, while if i decaptcher it never takes more than 2 tries, and usually just 1. If you take this into account, the price gap between 2$ and 1.35$ is getting much smaller, because you actually pay more if the success rate is lower.
