So I was a recent victim of the all mighty Google Adsense ban hammer. I am now collecting all the funds to start a big authority website, but before I get started, let me tell you what I learned from 2+ years earning from MNS and what you should do to keep earning:
Your Niche
The niche is the first thing you need to be aware of. It is not true that you need to be striking actual products to earn big at Adsense. You just need to be where advertisers are. Personally, I don't give a damn about GKT (Google Keyword Tool) when it comes to CPC. Most of their data is not updated, and it is not uncommon to be ranking #1 for a high CPC keyword and to get clicks worth almost nothing.
You should choose a niche that has actual advertisers bidding on the keywords you are striking. SpyFu shows you just that and I consider it a must use tool when it comes to keyword research.
When it comes to traffic, I wouldn't recommend anything below 1k EXACT match. However, I certainly don't recommend to do your website just around a single keyword. You should pick at least 5 keywords to work on. This was recently the main cause of banning many Adsense users
When you have your niche and keywords prepared, it's time to move on to the actual website.
Content
Content is king, and you shouldn't use spun content on any situation. I am aware that there are persons earning big time with garbage content, but in a review, they will be vanished, and we are building this for long-term passive income. If you aren't a great writer yourself, hire someone to write for you. These days, you can find cheap quality articles to get some decent content on your website.
Avoid keyword stuffing. This is another thing that will kill you in a review, even if your content was paid at golden rates. A decent keyword density is about 1-2%, no more than that. Try to write as natural as possible. When it comes to keywords, my worries are just to include it one time in the first paragraph, another time in the middle of the article and another one on the last paragraph. Google will be able to rank you from that, no need to repeat 100 times in a way that looks totally unnatural.
On-Page SEO
At this time, On-Page SEO is one of the most important ranking factors on Google. I've learned through experience that without proper on-page SEO, off-page SEO turns out to be much less effective.
Each webmaster uses a different set of tools when it comes to this. Some prefer to do it all manual, others like plugins. I like using Wordpress, since it is the most SEO oriented CMS on the market these days.
For plugins, I like to use "cbnet Ping Optimizer", "Platinum SEO Pack" and "Google XML Sitemaps". Yes, I only need 3 plugins to get my sites going, and a decent theme so I get the "h1, h2, h3" tags power as well.
The most important thing is to keep your tags and category pages set at no-index. You can easily do this with Platinum SEO Pack, but this is not a default, and therefore many people forget that. Also, keep a description for each article. This will help you in the SERPs.
Off-Page SEO
Regarding links, there is only one question that you need to ask: how much are you willing to spend? As for today, I believe that the best thing you could possibly do is to build your own private High-PR strictly controlled network to get crazy juice to your money site. As this is a really expensive thing, my low cost alternative is:
Build 10x Web 2.0 properties. Believe me, this STILL works. Web 2.0 properties have been used for SEO for a really long time, and they have certainly lost some value over time, but they are free and they are still one of the best links you can get without a payment.
Your Web 2.0s will be the buffers that will protect you from all spamming harm. You can blast those Web 2.0s with whatever weapons you have with your arsenal (XRumer, Scrapebox, AMR) and you should be fine. There are some reports that Google is now giving penalties for buffers use, but I've never experienced that and it works wonders with me.
After having your Web 2.0s built and indexed (it's really important that you let your properties index first, as this will help you with the remaining of this campaign), I will build some .edu links. These are not free, but they are cheap. Avoid .edu blog comments. These are just spammed to death pages, worth 0 for your site. Aim for high-PR edu profiles or a blog, if you can get this. Now you should get these links indexed. Again, use XRumer, Scrapebox or AMR if you have them, they are great tools to get things indexed. If you don't have any of these, buy some fiverr blasts and you are good to go.
You should be ranking first/second page now, if you aimed for low/average competition keywords. At this point, I usually settle down a little, as I may be dancing and I want to check my actual position, so I know exactly how many spots I have to move. When I do, I move to the final step of this campaign, which is using my earnings to buy something from this website.
I won't be promoting any specific BST, as I don't want to get into trouble for advertising, but you can just check for yourself. I set my budget at around $50, which is usually 2/3 months earnings (if you did everything else right). After I get those $50 at Adsense, I buy one service. Which one? Just open up a bunch of threads and read the reviews. You can get wonderful services for $50, trust me.
This is usually enough to bump straight into top 5, or even #1. After this point, I just keep repeating this last step over and over again. Once I got $50 or so (you should aim higher if you have good earnings), you invest that straight into link building services (and don't buy the same service over and over again, try to choose a different one everytime, so you know what works and have a good link diversity to avoid getting penalties).

- NEVER go for sites with just 1 keyword. Choose 5+ keywords and build your site around them, with 10+ articles. This will keep you safe under any review and will boost your earnings in the long-term;
- DO BOTHER with on-page SEO. When I was starting, I just installed WP with some random plugins and I was good to go. Now I apply my knowledge and I get much better results, for a work that sums up in 15 extra minutes;
- LEARN whats working. As of now, I've written that Web 2.0s are still working and I know for a fact that they do. However, Google algorithm is changing all the time. I guess that web 2.0s are just a way I've found to get some links while your site is still fresh. After that, reinvest your earnings into services that have good and decent reviews. This will get you good link juice and link diversity, which will help you keeping safe from major updates.
And the most important thing is to never give up. If one niche isn't working for you, move on to the next:
