Google traffic plateau

This is driving me nuts because I seem to get the same amount of traffic each day and yet the search terms are different, has anyone else experienced this traffic plateau where you can't seem to go above a certain amount? Something dodgy is going on imo.

What exactly do you mean the search terms are different? Do you expect ever increasing traffic when your SERPs remain the same?

No what Im saying is on day 1) I get mostly different searches than day 2) yet the traffic remains the same on both days, If I got the same traffic only on one day it would be double.

That's how it goes. Just remember that peoples search habits also vary from day to day. Keep building good keyword anchored backlinks to move up higher in the SERPS. This is what will get you consistent search traffic for the terms you are targeting.

It's odd how peoples daily lives effect search habits and traffic for websites. A couple years ago I had an entertainment blog. Like clockwork when American Idol would come on my traffic would zero out.. not a soul, ever. Once it was over I would do like half a weeks worth of traffic in a few hours.

ya pretty amazing, I also get a kick out of watching google trends.
