GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

Ya, i would appreciate if someone can get me a working discount code. Thanks.

Most probably have to do with proxies. Prior to updating which happens almost on a daily basis, make it a habit of backing up your sites. Shift and arrow down will do the trick. So if anything slows down or stop, you can just restore the backup and everything will be alright.

Mine is working 24/7 except for the frequent updates.

Same proxies are being used. I have 500 private 100mbit proxies. They have been working great, and they havent slowed down.

Nothing changed on my and and I didnt change any settings on the software. It just slowed down after I updated.

Damn it just posted to a PR7 d0follow wiki page ... that's a keeper lol.

I just decided to order it after running the trial for a few days. Why does the order process have to be so complicated? Whats the big deal of just accepting a credit card payment and sending you the download link? How long did the order take to clear for others that bought it?

I decided to try out the trial version and I'm on Day 3 of the software now. So far it seems alright. Had a few questions:

@s4nt0s: Did your MNS test site have GSA continuously running for the first week or even longer? Full 24 hours a day and when did you stop? I'm a bit amazed that you could get away with 4000+ links after only a month or two. Other people using different methods are getting WMT notices with only hundreds of backlinks.

- Are you allowed to put HTML links in the article or does the software put them in the resource box?

- How many projects can you run reasonably in a VPS with 1GB of RAM? What are the recommendations in terms of number of threads?

- Is it possible to target multiple URLs with multiple anchor texts (spinnable) in one project?

My only complaint so far is that this thing needs a better manual and/or a forum. Aside from that it looks pretty good.

I just typed out the longest post ever answering all of your questions in detail then when I hit the submit button I got a notice saying my password was 365 days old and I needed to change it to post. Basically I tried to go back and I lost everything I typed out so I'm just gonna keep this as short as possible.

Honestly I have no clue how long I kept the software running but it couldn't have been more then 2 weeks of total time during the month and a half it took to hit #10. I really think it was way less then that but I'm not sure. Right now checking serpbook it shows 4747 links indexed and these link range from blogs, image sites, trackbacks, guestbooks, statistics, etc. I think the real thing that helped it out was just the insane link diversity and my settings set to only post to PR1 and above and sites with max 50 OBL. When I originally made the site I didn't really care about it so using it for a case study was no issue. It was a EMD with low-med competition so I figured it had a good chance of making it to at least the second page. When it hit #10 I was definitely surprised. I wish I could show you guys the domain but that definitely wouldn't be good because it would reveal my other sites.

No idea but I know HTML is supported in all the other platforms so it is possible. Right now it default leaves your link in the author box but I bet if you email their support they will add whatever feature you need. Their support = amazing.

Sven told me he set the software to run a max thread of 3000 but doesn't recommend going over 100. It's really something you would have to play with and test on your own since everyone has different bandwidth. As far as projects go, I'm not sure about that one either but I've ran 7 at the same time and they all seemed to steadily increase link count over time.

- Is it possible to target multiple URLs with multiple anchor texts (spinnable) in one project?

There are two ways to do this as far as I know. You need to hit the edit button next to the URL field to see the options.

1. Crawl site - You enter your URL, it will crawl your site and scrape anchor text for each URL. You can double click on each URL and edit the anchor text manually in case it scrapes anchor text you don't want to use.

2. Import a .txt file with 1 URL per line.

If you're only using 1 url with 1 anchor the format would be like this.

Code:
http://www.yourdomain.com/#keyword1

If you're using multiple URLS it would be like this: (I think)
Code:
http://www.yourdomain.com/#{keyword1|keyword2|keyword3}
http://www.yourdomain2.com/#{keyword1|keyword2|keyword3}
http://www.yourdomain3.com/#{keyword1|keyword2|keyword3}

I agree! If people want me to I'll make a YT video showing how to set things up. It's really pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Alright I'm tired and I'm going to bed.

Adios!

Ok, been using this for a few days and must say the diversity is insane, really liking this software. I have a question which someone maybe able to help with - I have 4 projects running which I stopped last night to change some of the target platforms. I noticed that despite the changes to posting platforms made, its simply ignoring them - is there a specific method to change settings within a project once it has started which honors your changes?

Is anyone else having a problem with spun articles
All my articles are set up with SpinnerChief
When you look at the articles that have been posted, they all look like {{start|get started on|begin} to|begin to} finish. }

No, not seen that myself but looking at the syntax its clearly malformed - I use TBS and don't have any issues with that. It is therefore the quality of the spintax you are providing it with rather than anything to do with the app....

Looks like you're missing a left brace. So, it should be:

Code:
{{start|get started on|begin} [COLOR=#ff0000][B]{[/B][/COLOR]to|begin to} finish. }

or something similar.

Thanks for the help on that. Found four out of twenty of my articles all with similar problems.
Teach me not to use the built in test button to check things work properly

s4ntos, I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering.

How did you get the pop3 server settings to work. I have been trying for an hour with different emails but no luck. I tried with a domain email from hostgator, gmail, and hotmail. Do you mind sharing your settings if you got it to work?

What are you putting into the keywords field when setting up a project? Are those the keywords for sites that you want to target to get links on? Thats what I did, but the sites it posts to seem to have nothing to do with my keywords.

Is there a way to add your own blog platforms and directories to this program that you know of?

TinaKramer, I received the link right away I believe. It was quick started up same day....

I had to put in a phone number for verification. After I ordered the software, I got a call about 30mins later but nobody was on the other line. After I hung up my phone a new emial popped up in my inbox with the registration code.

Just a couple of questions guys:
1) How many proxies will I need each month to run this? (I want to hit 8-10 niche sites)
2) Do I actually need proxies?
3) Will this cover most of my SEO work?

I had trouble getting Gmail to work properly so I assumed it was my user error. I signed up with hotmail and I'm not having any issues now.

Here are my settings for that:

Pop 3 Server: pop3.live.com Port: 995
Use SSL: checked
Email: [email protected] Password:Yourpassword
Delete messages when verification link was found: checked

For my keywords I'll load a few hundred keywords I scraped from scrapebox or keyword blaze, etc. A lot of people don't notice this but if you look at the bottom part of that window where you select which platforms you want, you'll notice two different colors. One is green and says, "Keyword Related Target Sites" and one is yellow and says "No Keyword Related Target Sites". What that means is only the platforms that are highlighted in green are going to use your keywords to find related sites. Right now this means only blog comments, trackbacks, e107 forums, and pingback will use your keywords for this.

Is there a way to add your own blog platforms and directories to this program that you know of?

You have to create your own .ini file and put it in the engine folder. I have no clue how all of that works but I know a lot of the platforms on there now were taught by GSA users. If you have a good idea for a platform, I would just email support because they can add it and get it done a lot faster.

Thanks s4ntos for your answers. I wasnt aware that you can import keyword lists. Totally overlooked that. Pop3 with Hotmail works like a charm. :D

Thanks s4nt0s. Before reading your reply I started 5 projects against the same website for different keywords. Wish I had read it sooner.

Anyway, I set it up this way because I was unsure if GSA would set the Link1 & Link2 fields properly in the project if I set up one project with multiple keywords (as opposed to multiple projects with essentially one primary keyword each). If I'm targeting let's say 5 URLs with multiple keywords in one project, how will GSA know what to set for the Link1 & Link2 fields in the details section? Or am I stuck with the same 2 every time? To be honest I'm not even sure where these fields come into play (forum profiles? guestbook? bookmarks?).

Those fields are used for Forums. If you click the edit button next to each Link field you can see the exact same options as you see next to your URL field up top. Its got the same crawl site, import text, etc. options that you can choose. If you put 5 URL's in each Link field, it will rotate through them picking one randomly. (I think) I would just put all 5 URL's in all URL fields including Link 1 and Link 2.

That's my best guess but I'm pretty sure that's how it works .. if it's not then I'm sorry don't hate me!
