I was planning on doing so much writing and other internet stuff today, those plans got changed fast.
Around 10:00 my girlfriend's brother comes over to my house, we go outside and what appears to be a box is in the parking lot of the high school across the street. I took a closer look, and it wasn't a box, it was a dog. I go over there and take a look at it and its not moving much, shaking like crazy, and looked pretty sickly.
I thought "what the hell" and grabbed some ham from inside to see if she would eat it, to my surprise, she gobbled it down like she hadn't eaten in days. My girlfriend brought out more ham, she ate it, so now I've got no ham in my house lol.
Anyways we bring her into my yard and kind of check her over, aside from her shaking, it doesn't look like she has anything seriously wrong with her, except maybe a cataract in one eye. We did a few tests, and determined it was almost completely blind and pretty deaf. I debated calling animal control or the vet. I chose to call the vet.

At the vet, she tells me its got cataracts in both eyes, pretty much completely deaf (if you make a very loud noise, she will pop up) and she is leaking urine. Then she estimates it to be 8-10 years old, and says since you can see a very clearly defined collar mark, she was spayed, and had damn near perfect teeth, her guess is that someone just dropped her off at the parking lot and drove away, not wanting to take care of her anymore.
Then she asked if we were going to keep it, I look at my gf, she looks at me and says "you know its your choice" so I said "yeah let's keep her". The vet gave her a bath, gave us some prednizone for it, and a sample box of Frontline.
We brought her back home and my gf ran out and got some food and treats for her, which she loves. We also got her puppy training pads so she can lay there without peeing all over our carpet in her sleep. Monday we're calling the vet back and getting medicine for either a UT infection, or incontinence.
After a few hours of playing with her, mainly rubbing her belly, and letting her run around outside, my gf got a collar and leash for it so it doesn't kind of wander off like it has been doing outside.

I'm not a big fan of turquoise, but that's what you get for letting your gf pick out the collar. She isn't biting at it at all, and last time she went outside, she pooped, so she is obviously house broken.
It just makes me so mad that someone would just leave this dog in a parking lot because she probably became inconvenient for them.
