Agreed. I bought the directory & indexer also. Very very satisfied.
The only thing you're doing wrong is not trying it and seeing for yourself.
Just fill out the required info and your link will definitely be in there.
Thanks. I've tried it, but since I've yet to get a single successful article submission (plenty of successful article directory accounts created though), I'm still no wiser.
Another thing I was curious about is that in the manual where it describes 'Search engines to use' under the 'Options' tab, it says 'You have to check some search engines unless you use your own target sites that you import'. Where would you import a list of target sites?

It's refering to the 'Add' button, right at the bottom of the list of search engines, where you can add your own custom search engine entry.
If you mean how do you add your own sites, then just RMC on the project and select 'Import Target URL's'.
Thanks. I found it not long after I asked and edited my post to say so. I know that's not always clear (sorry), but I've been on some really dictatorial forums where they jump down your throat if you make two posts next to each other rather than edit to add to the first one, and I wasn't sure what the policy on that kind of thing is around here. Hmm that's odd. The first day the wiki submitter was released I left it running that night and got over 1,000 verified wiki links.
I noticed that when selecting search engines that if you just select a few instead of all of them you get better results .. or at least that's the way it seems for me. If you're wanting to scrape from google.com, bing.com, etc. then right click in the search engine box and choose "check by country" then pick United States or whatever country you're trying to scrape from and it will select all US search engines.
You might have already known that but this is a tip for anyone really. It works good!

Some of the search terms used will only work with Google
From memory inurl is one such term.
Yahoo also follow nofollow links and have them show in their results. One of the methods of being caught by project honeypot
Choosing a couple of googles, .com will only show results from your country ip unless you specify a county like co.uk etc
I still cant believe the speed at which these guys knock out the updates
Saturdays and Sundays you feel let down because they have a day or two of rest

Jumped in - tried to install on a new 64bit Windows 7 powerhouse and its simply showing the installer popup which you select ok and then disappears never to return? anyone had an install problem on W7 64bit? got it working well no probs on a 32bit W7 laptop but not the desktop?? weird.

How so? Not ripping on NHSEO I have it also but this returns way more links & I actually use it for 1st tier & money site while no hands I use for 2nd tier sites.

Ta - figured it out - antivirus! - this already looks like a great little app. I am particulary impressed with the link diversity it provides....
Mine slowed down a LOT. On my first full day a few days ago, it got over 1300 links created, after the updates to 2.6/2.61 It got 74 links in the last 24 hours.
That is a huge decrease.

Most probably have to do with proxies. Prior to updating which happens almost on a daily basis, make it a habit of backing up your sites. Shift and arrow down will do the trick. So if anything slows down or stop, you can just restore the backup and everything will be alright.
