Facebook account with 5000 friends or Facebook Fanpage with 5000 fans/likes?

And What are the advantages of each one compared to the other one.

I believe that for just 5000 "contacts", account is better.
Is better because you can send them messages, chat with them, tag on photos.

With pages you can't message they or chat, but you can create a bigger "list of contacts" than account.

If your niche is small probably accounts will be better, but in the long run pages are more valuable.
