I don't know if I'm even going to post this big ole rant, but if you're reading it I guess I did.
As I sit here thinking I have realized something, and I think it's worth ranting about honestly. I've been in IM for several years now, white and black. I own a plethora of tools, oodles of sites - from adsense to service sites...one or two of which are fairly popular with BHW members. I have tens of thousands of social followers and several other long lists of things where too much money and time was spent. I've devoted more money than I care to remember and 120+ hours a week for an entire f'in year of my life to internet marketing ideas and tests...and what I have to show for it is a lot of wisdom (me hopes) and a knowledge for what new IM'ers want, as well as a pretty detailed relationship with what really does work and what is just BS hype, *cough* SHOEMONEY *cough*.
My conclusion to all of this time, money and effort? IM'ers want/need a repeatable, automated, super easy way to make a big return with minimal invested. No crap, right? Right. But please tell me one single tool/ebook/plugin/software/service/anything that is a true total package for those hundreds of thousands of new IM'ers? Show me one that does not require some knowledge of how things work or only leads you to buy more and more tools.
There are some that come very close, and those are worth their weight in gold, but nothing seems to be perfect....nothing holds up. If anything you have to at least find a long list of tools and learn how to use them. THEN, you can look into building a site. Most new IM'ers do this backwards, they build a site and then when it's not making any money they go out looking for tools to fix it. Most end up giving up, that's why probably only 10% (if that) of all IM'ers can call it a full time PAYING job.
That's also why most of that 10% is making their money from selling those very tools to noob IM'ers. Nothing wrong with that, but it's a broken system. We deserve better don't we? Why can't there be something simple and eay that does everything for you and really makes you money...just like all the BS hype squeeze pages promise? It doesn't have to be a pipe dream or a marketing tatic...it could really exist. Really.
I'm sure some of you are big fans of one program or another and will tell me yadda yadda does this and that and is all you need to make money in [insert niche here] on [insert site here] if you [insert process here]. Ok, well good for you. I'm glad you found something that works with your knowledge level and with your business skills and innate luck. Work it till it's dead. But it's not working for the other 99%. It can't be. Sure, some are scared to buy and will never know, but screw the 9-5 sheeple who won't drop a dime. They are afraid of change, and nothing can fix their mindset. But some will try hard and still fail. Some of it is luck even still, I agree. But not all of it. It boils down to effectiveness and your knowledge of how the process works.
So all that ranting brings me to my point. I've came up with something, an idea that could really solve nearly all this mess. Something that could make new IM'ers hundreds (thousands/millions/billions/whatever fantasy number you want...but mostly hundreds) of dollars every month for each site they make. Not $5 a week like the other crap....but $10-$20 a day or more per site times however many domains you can afford.
I'm pulling these numbers from my own experience with my system I'm working right now. It's something that I just sort of naturally developed over the years, and then adjusted as google made changes. It seems consistent, It's not as automated as I would like but it could be 100% automated outside of setting up wordpress sites. Hell that could even be worked out really.
I could put my entire system in a WSO and sell it, sure...but 95% of the people who bought it wouldn't have a clue how to do it in the end and would have to spend $1,000+ on tools just to get started. The only one who would get rich off it would be me. And honestly I don't like that. If I'm selling a product that is supposed to make you money, then damnit I want it to make you money. Not 5% of those who would buy my WSO would ever do it, mostly because they cannot afford the tools to try out a new idea based off what one guy came up with.
So I don't know. I'm tired of trying to make money in IM. This game is getting old to me. The fun is gone and I want to move on. I have always dreamed of owning a homestead and moving out to the country far away from computers and power lines. I'm ready to go, but all this is holding me here. Mentally I can't let it go until I do something with all this. I just don't know what.
I've thought about building some software that can do what I want, that would solve the problem. But I'm not a programmer, I'm an idea guy that knows what people want. I know html and css, but that won't get me far with API's. I don't know anyone offhand who could do it either.
I guess that's why I'm here. I have the idea and the process, and I know what I want. I just don't know how to do it. Is my system destined to disappear when I do? Is it worth seeing to completion?
