GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

Im running mine off my mac thru vm ware and use 18 threads, 10 private proxies. I tried higher threads and had internet issues....i am using 4santos settings (above) and really increased submissions. Several sites have increased in rankings.

after getting scrapebox several months ago and finding it brilliant I got scrapejet on sunday, found it useless was getting error 503 and nothing more.. so the aussie kindly refunded it for me.. today I bought GSA search engine ranker.. so far it's much more impressive, it's slowly trickling but as I run on VPS would rather have a steady flow of links 24/7 rather than the sudden rushes that scrapebox gives... debated trying no hands seo after scrapejet... but got a more positive vibe from comments on GSA here and elsewhere...

That is crazy...If you don't mind sharing - what kind of set-up do you have? how many threads are you running? I'm guessing you have some sort of proxy or VPS with GSA running?

Based on this and s4antos success, I think I might have to pick this up. I have an old laptop sitting here where I could run this 24/7.

I'm using the settings mentioned by a previous member in this thread. I'm running it on my home computer and have it set to just 10 threads, I'd rather have it creating steady links vs. creating a bunch of links for say, a month, and then only find some here and there.

I got a couple vps ips banned from GSA proxy checking. Anybody else get this? I added my own source of urls for GSA to check and it turns out one of the sources was a netscan log. GSA then checked these ips in sequence and got the ip flagged.

I personally don't run GSA Search Engine Ranker on a VPS and I'm sorry to hear that you got the ip's banned. Currently I have a list of private proxies that I load into GSA and so far I have had no issues with performance or the likes.

I have 2 subscriptions with 2 different companies that I use for all my programs.

BuyProxies & MyPrivateProxies

Here are my reviews on them:
http://www.scrapeboxproxiesx.com/myprivateproxy/
http://www.scrapeboxproxiesx.com/buy-proxies/

Both are great companies and I have been using them for months now with no issues.

Since the last Update it runs much quicker with a lower CPU load.

I my opinion it get mutch more result.

Anyone sharing this impression?

Actually, GSA was such a resource hog at the beginning that it was taking up more memory than SEnukeX and so I can say without a doubt that with the last few updates that it has indeed improved significantly in performance.

I think I just found a bug (I'm using trial atm). I had the indexer/referrer checked as one of my engines. I unchecked both and it's still posting to whois/statistics type sites. I've stopped the project, shut down GSA, and everything. Can anyone else confirm?

Yeah I'm getting quite a few indexer/referrer links popping up too, without selecting them, using full version.

The most likely cause, is that it's using competitors' backlinks.

In the Project Data Options > Search Engines to Use, uncheck the "Also analyse competitors backlinks" option.

Is anyone still getting blog comments/trackbacks since the last few updates?

I'm running 25 projects at 350 threads and i am seeing NO blog comments / trackbacks anymore from any platform, i do get thousands of links from the other platforms but i find it a bit odd i am completely missing links from ALL blog platforms since a few updates ago, this used to work just fine, was getting a ton of comments/trackbacks.

Anyone seeing the same behavior?

Thanks, I'll try that.

Recently a ton of indexer and awstats links few if any comment links. I emailed support and mentioned this also.....

Aha, so it's not just me, everything seems to work perfect, except all blog comments/trackbacks seem to fail.

Can agree, the balancing is a little bit out of range.

A kind of throttle where we can adjust the percentage of uses would be great.

My experience with GSA Search Engine Ranker..

- used 10 private proxies
- left the software run for 24h
- checked to post on blogs with no more than 50 OBL
- checked to use at least pr1 sites
- loaded 136 keywords related to my main one
- got 12 confirmed links

You get the idea

The minimum pr that you set from GSA is the domain pr and not the actual page rank. Can someone confirm this?

But so far, I used it for 1 day and got positive results out of it.

I just did that too recently, just to experiment, because I noticed I wasn't getting much blogs either. Is this something new, or been happening for awhile. Or, all all blogs just spammed to hell over 50?

I'm thinking about buying GSA and did a test today for 5 hours had some the same settings as you. The differences were - I did not use any private proxies, had 7 keywords, and also had Trackbacks selected along with the blogs.

I got 28 confirmed links in that time frame...I'm only guessing here, but maybe it has to do with the keywords being used???

Just when you think it can't get any better GSA add's social bookmarking (pligg) to the software.

So now it verifies the registrations through pop 3 email.

If they can add that maybe we should get them to add wiki submissions. ;)

S4ntos what all platforms do you have ticked for your campaigns, like are you running blogs, image sites, directories etc?
