Best place to keep your money??

Gold(better than banks annual interest and you can convert it to cash anytime anywhere) or Dollar Account if your not from US. :)

watches, jewelry, gold, cash (big bills, e.g. the 500 euro note in EU).

plenty of ways.
try to stick to big bills. when you have a lot of money in small bills it becomes a problem, you cannot "handle" it anymore, and you tend to spend a lot of it faster.

do keep in mind the depreciation. at the bank atleast you get 4% interest.

under the mattress isn't safe. what if your house burns down or if someone robs you? it depends on how much money you have as to where you should put it but i would invest it in gold or silver or domain names.

buy land, gold or silver..
if you want to go with online buy domains in bulk... ;;):)

I think it depends on your personal situation. Also, I don't think it is wise to bet it all on one horse.

If you store it at home: People will come to know and tell others that are bound to give you a house call. This mostly starts with the owner bragging to a good friend.
If you like to keep big bills like €500 bills, only banks will be able to change it for smaller bills. €50 bills adds up quickly, easy to use too as they are accepted everywhere.
Gold and silver bars should be disguised. I would probably paint them and make a puppet house using the bars as stones...
Antiques increase in value but look like garbage to most people. Not useful if you have a lot of guests/friends.
Houses are not as safe as plain land.

I know of one person that got a house call for being white in Africa. Got him in the hospital.
I know of another person that pays a tip fee for useful information. He likes to make house calls.
I know of several people that talk way to much, this resulted in house calls.

In short: Diversify, hide in plain sight and keep your mouth shut. Don't live like a God in France till you can afford the Angels to protect you.

Just my opinion, ignore as you see fit. :)

Thanks for this post, all of that makes sense. And yes, it looks like diversifying is the way to go,

If you have acres of land and a house on it you could create an underground vault to store your money. Or like others have said, invest in some stocks.

Real Estate - do some research or find a good partner and invest in rental properties. Great passive income.

Banking/Investing out in Singapore is pretty safe.... Some banks out in Mongolia are offering 14% interest, and with the abundance of natural resources recently found out there the boom should be not far behind... Also Gold/Platinum investments out in Hong Kong isn't a bad option neither....

best place is with somebody else, spend it until it worth something

Keeping the money in bank is the obviously safe....
