Amazon - Hitting Hard & Fast...

side note unrelated to this thread.... is anyone on the thread a citizen of the Bahamas and currently living there, or does anyone know anyone on this forum that meets that description?

forgot to mention ... i also used scrapejet to put some high pr backlinks toward the vids.... this isnt helping right now i wouldnt think, but it will help over time in google organic search results.

One question, people who search for product name + model
like Nike ITC 87298 (just an example), are these people willing to buy or what? do you have any idea about conversions of such keywords?

sure man - that sort of thing closes in on the 'buyer keywords' category.... I always use buyers keywords no matter what. I dont shoot for high volumes of traffic in anything i do, instead i shoot for high volumes of sales.... and using buyer keywords is a major piece of that puzzle.

Keep it up xoskillet, even amazon expert like Virus1 still want to listen from you too.

Are you recommend doing niche/products and focus on something like "Digital Cameras" series or just pull it up larger main category one like Electricity?

Cause from my experience doing niche one like I mentioned above is better for SEO but for the long term may not enough traffic.

Honestly I dont think the product matters even slightly.

if you read the whole thread you'll see that i made only 2 sales for the product i was promoting, and about 70 for products i didnt mention or promote in any way.

No, i think the product doesnt matter from a buying point because people will buy whatever they want.

in my next tests i am going to tell people somethnig horrible about some random product, and then give them the link to see for themselves (which will be my affiliate link) and i am guessing that my sales numbers will be about the same.... most people will buy something other then what i sent them there for.

so, in reality, you dont have to make a store about any niche... i think any random product will do.

remember - once they click through, they are cookied, so any purchase made within 24 hours, you get credit for.

Nice man haha. What did you earn so far? I think if I were to do anything, I would get traffic from YouTube. Look at the Kony video and see how much traffic that got. NOW, picture that video content locked - to see the rest. You'd be a millionaire lol.

That right there is spot on. Most people think you need enormous amounts of traffic to do well with amazon. You don't! You need a better conversion rate!

Example:
100 visitors -> 15 sales = 15% conversion
1000 visitors -> 15 sales = 1.5% conversion

For me when I start a new amazon site I start with no more than 5 products. Sometimes less if it's a small niche. If you can't sell one you're not gonna sell any!

Then I start split testing those 5 pages to get the best conversion rate I can. Then and only then do I add more products to the site.

Obviously you need good qualified traffic ;)

xoskillet can you provide us with an example of a youtube video you've made? everyone says making money with youtube and aff's is a good method but how do you use youtube for that? i dont really get it..

I wouldnt feel comfortable with your core request - but i will explain it out in a bit more detail here for you...

Okay, go find a really trending topic on youtube.... lets just say today that it is lebron james.

now snag a couple of partial clips from other peoples vids who are high on the search results and seem to be getting a lot of traffic.

next, go ahead and put your video together.

now edit the video by including images of (an ipad for example) along with wording saying somerhing like "be cool like lebron - check out what kind of ipad he has!).

now, at the end of the vid, extend it out 20-30 seconds with a plain screen that tells the viewer to click the link in your description to see the exact ipad lebron has.

... and that my friend is how you get people to click through to your offers.

The niche shouldn't really matter. If you get them to azon . . they will should purchase something over the next 24 hours even if it isn't what you sent them there to buy. True you'll make more $$$ on some things than others, but ultimately its all about traffic.

Thanks for your helpful Amazon report.

I have a question to ask.
Do you write your own product content or is it auto generated by your amazon plugins?

i am curious to know. thanks.

This is a good way to connect with people who share what you do. Amazon marketing is a great idea. As you said, you have found it lucrative. May you be influential enough to convince others to try this out.

I've got a niche site that I haven't done anything with yet. (I've been working the eBook side of amazon lately). If anyone wants to team up, the website has about 6200 products all in the same niche. We can put xoskillets method to the test and see how well we bank. Send me a PM if your game
