Also remember to check out YouTube.

Whether it be Wordpress, Scrapebox or any other tool, someone seems to have made a video about how to use it.

This is assuming that you want to know the basics of setting up, posting and plugins.

From there you then just spend time using it and reading the forums and you learn many little tips and tricks along the way.

I don't know what I did for video before YouTube came along, maybe it was IRC

Definitely this. Lynda.com is amazing IMO when it comes to tutorials, generally speaking.

The "WordPress 24-Hour Trainer" is a very good book for a beginner.
You can find it on Amazon for about $20

Luckily WordPress is super user friendly. Search up 'Wordpress for beginners' (or something similar) on YouTube, Scribd or SlideShare and you'll get plenty of results.

Best way to learn in my opinion as well. Actually how I learned to server admin lol My buddy made me an account with WP on his VPS and said "Now figure out what's broke. Then I'll break it again " Frustrating at times, but "learning by doing it yourself" had always been the way it sticks in my head (rather than watching someone else do it).

When I was learning (reality is I still am) I searched the Internet for stuff like "Wordpress tutorial PDF" then installed it and played around with it. If you break your installation no problem, just reinstall it and play with it some more. Only way to learn is if you get into it and mess around.
