This one wotks on wiki type sites that require an account to edit pages, and it helps if you know the subject matter a bit, although thats not entirely necessary.
Firstly, using different proxies of course, create 2 (or more) different accounts.
Go and clean up or add some relevant info to a few pages using one of your accounts - thats the good cop. Do this a few times, making sure that some - but not all - of your activity is on the pages you want to target later. Remember don't do anything wrong with this account - no links etc.
Now with the other account go and blatantly spam the shit out of the pages you'd like a link on. You want it to look very obvious, like a noob spammer has just discovered wiki's for the 1st time.
On most good wiki type sites this will trigger an email alert to the numerous contributers to the page, who will then don their white superhero cape and come to the rescue to clean up the page.
This is where the good cop comes in. You need to beat them to it and clean up all the links left by your bad account - EXCEPT 1 - very well hidden link - that your good cop accidently left there when cleaning the page after the dirty spammer got to it.
This has got me some very good links over the last year or two and only gets stronger the more times you do it. It's all about becomming a "trusted" member
