For those who are new to BHW or don't know who I am, my company (Software Syndicate) and I have launched a number of applications (Answer Assault, Torrentator etc) which are available on BHW.

Recently, we found out that another company (Rockong Ventures, member: rockong) were planning release of a Yahoo Answers application. Though, the team behind it was strictly development based (needed some assistance with pushing things to market, promotion and customer support). So, we decided that instead of getting into price wars we would embrace the partnership and continue developing both Answer Assault 2.0 and Answer Swipe side by side.

In it's current form AS (http://answerswipe.com) acts as an 'expansion pack' to AA, and the way it is built ensures more longevity for less work. With that being said, AA is undergoing a heap of work to bring it up to standard, and 2.0 will be a free upgrade.

If you're an existing AA user you should have received an email by this point, with an upgrade offer to AS for $25, which allows you to retain your AA license as well.

Answer Swipe, will be hitting the public shelves in under a week, and Answer Assault 2.0 is in final stages of development.

WAIT. There's more!

Over the last year we have found that people are sometimes just too busy to dedicate time to personally doing work, even if it is something as easy as Yahoo Answers. For this reason, we will be working with another company to provide service based work around Answers marketing. You specify your keywords and some other details and we do the rest!

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks for the share :) Will keep an eye out for the upcoming developments. Looking forward to seeing Answer Swipe in action :)

I bought AA when it came out and 3 days ago purchased Answer swipe (seemed like a good deal) however it just does not work as advertised...i have emailed support twice and not received a response. For me answer swipe has been released too soon and has poor/no support.

I currently use AA.. I don't plan on buying the other program..
Slow is Fine for me..
The only thing AA is Lacking is SUpport

i am doing manual yahoo answers. so far i have level 3 and getting better :) yahoo backlinks are no follow

OP I wish you would just stay with your AA and keep improving and updating the product. I still believe you have a pretty good product but a product like this requires constant up keeping. Since I purchased your AA about 6 months ago I have only received 1 update. Currently many of the functions do not even work anymore (best answer voting for 1) or is not working smoothly. If this is reflection of they types of products and more importantly the support (or lack of in this case) then I would not want to touch any products that you would be associated with in the future.
As I said I believe in AA but it requires support from the developer and that is what this decent product is lacking at the moment.

@bontii

All support requests were dealt with, check your junk in case the email didn't go through. PM'd. If it's nothing else, support is of utmost importance to me, so I apologize in case you feel otherwise. Version 1.0.1.7 was just released.

@jkwak

AA is definitely not being left behind. 2.0 should be dropping in less than two weeks! :) And the same applies to support.

Thanks,
Rick

@seolaptop

I've decided to invest in a new development team, in the interest of getting things to the same level. So far these are the confirmed features for 2.0:

- Scheduler / Auto Scheduler
- Entire GUI revamps
- Transitioning to a socket based system module by module
- Improvement on the best answer selection
- Limits for number of questions/answers to post per account (a heap more input settings)
- Automated answering of retrieved Keyword Snoop questions

The rest is still brewing on the blackboard.. exciting.

@rickstar
thanks for starting the thread!

Any questions about Swipe can be answer here by me ;)

Go nuts!

Sorry to say, but there is a conflict of interest here. You had specifically mentioned on 2/20/12 that an update will be out in 24 to 48 hours regarding answer assault. Now, you come out with an upsell to answer assault in the form of answer swipe which in my opinion has all the same features and the promise upgrades of answer assault. I don't care about the circumstances regarding the change.

This is unacceptable simply because you're practically selling the same product to people who bought answer assault with the promised free lifetime upgrades.

I am your old customer
I requested refund and got money back
Now I want to oder A Assault or Answer Swipe again.
Would you want me to be your customer back ???
lol

@beaglejuice

No problem. I reveal informational updates to AA as they are released. As mentioned earlier, development is still underway and all AA users will be entitled to a free 2.0 upgrade. For those who don't want to wait, or want to try something new Answer Swipe is available. Both apps will be developed/sold side by side.

@seolaptop

Order away! :) No hard feelings. Though, purely for the logistical work don't request refunds unless you really need to.

Rikstar.

I think you're doing yourself a disservice by associating yourself with a competitive tool that adds NO value to AA but acts as a competitor.

I've had AA for ages now, and to be frank, hardly ever used it, because something always seemed to come up, and I'm good with seo, so rankings and traffic haven't been an issue.

That being said, the email I received about AS seems to insinuate that this tool is "an add-on" to AA..

How is it an add-on?

I don't see anywhere where AA has to be running in order to use AS, so how can this be an add-on, compliment or whatever else you would like to call it?

Sure, we all want to make money... just visit the warrior forum to see the rate at which useless wso's are produced each day.

Goodwill is what will catapult you into 6 figures.
If you have a great product, awesome support, and you stand by your convictions, (whatever they may be), people will gravitate towards you.

Doesn't matter if BHT has 10 members, 100 or 1mill, your goodwill will lead you into the 6 figures you so seek.

Right now, I'm smelling a rat, because you're hawking something totally parallel to AA under the guise of compliment.

Sorry, doesn't fly with me, and makes me want to ask for a refund and so somewhere else.

Hope you'll reconsider your future strategy of promoting other people's products when yours needs just as much attention.

You have totally lost all my respect to you and all your programs. What the fuck is meant by "For those who don't want to wait, or want to try something new Answer Swipe is available".

I hope you reconsider your selling strategy. You're breaking bst rules. I really don't care who you partner with but you are clearly renegading on a guarantee and taking advantage of members.

Im in the same boat as you with aa it works but never worked quite right

and example is now yahoo implement captcha when you post from different proxys, this is a big deal when you want the software to work on its own! i was one of A.As first followers rick isn't a bad guy.. in fact hes helpful

I think he spreads him self too thin, he has torrenter etc, but that is no excuse to try what your doing with your competitors we bought A.A. with the idea of full life time support! now if your money is running out i would suggest a 5 dollar a month maintenance fee or something, but actually hit your deadlines and add features that are going to make the product work right. now your A.A is not working fully automatic like it should I told you this in the past.. Yahoo answers is a great way to get targeted traffic but you need the tool to work for you to get a return.

And this crap with telling your customers if they want the feature to make it AA work the way it should buy AS is bull rick.

Also add features damn it i would pay the 5 bucks a month so you can add features on time. Your delivery sucks when you say its coming the middle of feb and its almost the middle of march, you have development issues. follow the big boys great product stick to your word and you will succeed, Other wise you have already failed.

Yeah...i dont know what Rickstar wanted to accomplish with offering AS while AA2 is being developed, but i was about to sell mt AA and get AS...and then i found out that AA2 will have the same functions of AS plus more functionality! So i am not selling my AA...and not buying AS

i was considering heavily purchasing AA eventually.

Now, i'm totally confused. I understand your strategy but it is badly handled publicly.

I'm wondering which one is going to drag the most attention from now on.

I don't need 1 progs referring to another one as add on.

I need 1 which will last through time.

I would suggest that the 2 teams merge into one and developp a kick ass product together and not "together / against / maybe --> pay more pls"
