I'm Going To Do IM [FULL-TIME] Am I Crazy?

I really like your thinking. I am new to IM myself, and I am still learning the skills to the game. I'm 16 and have been active owning websites for years now. Decided to bring my game to IM in hopes to find ways to increase my earnings.

My plans are alike yours too. But I'm open around 12 hours a day to do IM work. Hopefully within a few years my success grows. I already actively write 5-10 articles a day for my web-blog trying to grow it.

I quit college before graduating simply because it wasn't practical to continue attending. No two year degree would pay as much as I was earning at the time and I had bills to pay. I was running my own business then as a mobile disc jockey and was earning close to $1,000 a week working about 16 hours... per week NOT per day.

Since then I have had a lot of different jobs and a few businesses of my own. One thing that has always struck me odd is that jobs requiring 40+ hours a week never made me a whole lot of money. Somehow I end up finding opportunities that pay off fast with minimal time investments. I learned to work smarter not harder and have had a lot more leisure time to enjoy life.

Of course if I had earned a university degree I might be a wealthy surgeon or lawyer by now but I have a feeling that would require a lot of long hours too. Maybe I place a lot more value on family and friends (and girls) than working but that's just my opinion. Can you fall back on your education if IM doesn't work out? It probably depends on what you major in. Right now I know a lot of college graduates who are jobless. That has a lot to do with the current economy but always remember that when qualifications become a close call, experience and people skills go a long way. I have been hired over better educated people many times simply based on my interview skills.

Whatever it is that you decide to do, my advice is to be realistic about your expectations. I might be crazy but I am here to find ways to make good money without putting in ridiculous amounts of time. I can work 14 hours a day and make six digits in a regular job. What's the point though? You need time to live life. Before you know it ten years will get behind you. I hope that you can look back you can feel that you enjoyed it and your memories are of good times and not parking in front of a monitor 12 hours a day. When you wonder where your life went, well that is just sad.

Hi bro!

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.

We appreciate your decisiveness; many kids today have become too complacent and uncaring about economic and educational realities.

But in my humble opinion you'll shit bricks before you become a successful well-rounded IMer.

You have to make it your mindset that mistakes are part of your learning experience and you should not be discouraged when you commit them. Dont ever blame yourself if you come to a point that you're down and bruised. Always learn to Chill out.

I'm really impressed about those "Making Money" methods that I will work FULL-TIME to get big results. My name is Sombrero :dunce:, I'm 19 years old and I don't trust higher education, must kids are really duh and they think education is going to solve their money problems in the future (which is a fantasy because you must be really good to fit in a good company). I finished high school and I don't really want to waste time going to college but I would when money grows (there's chicks).

I believe you should do IM business in order to be successful in life (talking about money) and if you love it, you must work hard. I work doing web development, writings, gigs, videos, etc.. so, I earn money doing freelance jobs but is not enough (it covers human necessaries).

My plan is going IM 8 hours a day, making plans, working hard, reading, posting ideas, etc..

I will buy the Jr. Vip Status to commit myself, I really have passion for this and I'm excited about it. I trust BHW because I have earned a little bit money (cents) with the methods but I haven't put too much effort.

Sure, I have been reading threads lately and I'm realistic with my goals. I'm not a completely noob, the 8 hours is just to really put hands on it and have a life of course.

college education is not bad.. It is really good if you join for the right reasons (not just for a job or for chicks). However it is not mandatory to have a college education.

However succeeding in IM requires more than just 8 hours a day initially. Once you establish yourself, you spend less time. However you need spend around 12-14 hours a day and be flexible with your timing.

I second the thought of working instead going to the college. See you are just 19 and you have life in your hand. Give it a go.. stay home for one or two years, try IM if you can make it full time don't go to college. You can anytime get it done through distance courses. Listen to your heart.. Because once you choose something, you are the one who has to go through it and the after effect of the choice. So do it. Life is not about education it is about experiences, I can show you lacs of people reading self help books like empowering your mind and brain, where do they end up??

P.S.- I am 24 right now and I am doing the same and I hope to start a living of 2K$ per month and then go to college with the sustainable income, for me 2K$ being in colg is enough.

I'd disagree here. It really depends on what you get involved with, who you know & how fast of a learner you are. If you get the opportunity to watch a guy "really" making money online learn and take notes on what he is doing.

I'd start by working more hours than that.

Try 14 hours a day to start and then cut it down when you see some progress or can outsource.

Damn you guys work so long. I only work an hour a day at most. Thats because almost all my focus is on school.
Honestly, most people fail at IM, which is why my "backup" plan is quite solid and if my IM career fails, I still will have a future. If I were you I would go to school.

Every startup is hard and required a lot of dedication. These posts saying 8 hours arent enough mean that you need to put in more time to get things running. That doesn't mean you will have to keep 14hours a day after you are well establishes (Although you still can for better growth).

If you wanna succeed and make it big, the time or resource it takes wouldn't matter. I've had 18work hours days for weeks when it was needed. Now I dont even keep track I wake up in the morning, make a list of things to do and I start. That's it.

Haha I guess me and your have identical missions. I'm 19 too, a web designer and developer, and writer... except I don't do any of those for money yet. Right now I'm in college on my laptop though.

Sorry, time for a reality check. Just throwing time at IM does not necessarily translate into making more money but just it gives you more time to waste on the Internet. Recommend you get a degree and go IM part-time. You'll never get this chance again and who the hell wants to be in front of a computer all day with all of those girls running around the campus. Yeah, I know riches beckon you with IM but in the long run you'll thank me!

Most sit in front of a cpu 18 hours a day, no sical skills, and have girlfriends who cheat on them because they dont spend time with them

In my opinion, IM is going to be dead in next few years.

IM to me is a ho0bby, entertainment, fun and never to be taken seriusly.

Get a degree kjeep a good job and do IM on the side and once you saved uo like 80-100k from Im , invest that into something offline like a burger king restaurant or something

It aint cool sitting in front of a cpu when its 80 degrees out and girls running around in skirts and your in front of cpu frustrated because somebody stole your campaign.

I know only work 3-4 hours a day m-fri, sometimes saturday if Im bored.

I make a fulltime FULLTIME income plus I have tons of money saved

When I first started this I still then only devoted about 6 hours or so a day to IM, hell sometimes I wouldnt work for 3 days

But yea mayne get your degree and do IM parttime.
