Anyone who's been here on BHW for that long and can't pull together $10, so much so that they have to ask someone is a red flag. Also - getting hosting is not much of a plan for paying you back, that's a plan for how he is going to spend it. If getting hosting was a business plan, I would be RICH!!

But fucking hell, honestly, $20? He's been here for 3 years and he risked all of that for a small $20. Wow.
Sorry to OP, good that it's just $20 but be careful next time and always do a background check on the person. (by checking previous posts and so on - but that doesn't mean you dish out $XXXXX to reputable members just because they're reputable) but be careful when dealing with people like him.

It hurts my soul that someone would take advantage of another persons kind heartedness.
I remember back about a year or so ago on this forum, or maybe another one that I use, a guy asking for help. Seems that two people in his family died violently and it was up to him to take care of things. He also had to take care of the young girl who survived it.
Long story short.... He asked for some help and I Paypal'd him 100 bucks. Not a whole lot of money in the grand scheme of things but it made me feel good to be able to help.
Now somebody on here asks for a small amount of help and doesn't have the decency to at least respond to the grantor.

This is so much lame to scam someone for 20$ , i guess he lives in poverty in a poor country to desperately being in need of 20$.I can understand you feelings op as it is not that much the amount you lose but the fact that he is so much ungrateful , as i had a similar story with 200usd paid on a freelancer payoneer card as service for building a site to earn from adsense , fortunately i paid with my credit card and i was able to fill a chargeback with my bank and finally i got my money back.That was really nice to be able to fight back the scammer , i would suggest you do the same as i said not because of the amount but this whole feeling you know to be able to shut him up
