Precisely why we should not subject them to talk about scrapebox or cracking captchas. When my most recent gf was bugging me all the time about what I am doing on the laptop for so long, I said alright then, and I gave her a taste of writing articles about pointless crap and manual captcha filling. She once claimed she would do anything for me, but this, she said, was her limit. She said "it makes me want to shoot myself". And this, my friends, is why you should not talk to your gf about IM.

I know, I was just joshing. Trust me, guys don't want to hear about it either if they don't know IM.

It has nothing to do with them being female. We are the exception, not the rule. A normal person does not find filling in captchas and writing articles on the best blenders of 2012 to be a fun way to spend Saturday night. I don't know why people are thinking this is a "women vs men" topic.

My gf just nods at me and smiles. She just knows I pay the bills on the internet. Hell even some of my clients admit they have no idea what I'm talking about. They just see the results and they're content with that. I do SEO & web design for local businesses.

Exactly. My mom is the only one who listens to my actual plans/strategies. Everyone else wants to know the "magic recipe", and after I tell them there isn't one, they go deaf.

I don't think it has anything to do with intelligence... it's more about general interest on the subject. Like kickflip said it does take a special breed to be in IM. I'm on BWH, while creating Web 2.0s, drinking an energy drink, and hitting my vape and you know what?!? I couldn't be happier. What we do many can't.

Basically what I was getting at is that I'm done trying to explain it to anyone. It's always the same dull look of disinterest or lack of understanding. So why bother explaining or discussing it? Get on with something more interesting, ex. pulling your penis out.

I went through this thread and read the each and every comment. Just couldn't stop laughing reading them. When I told my GF that I am making money online, she was like " Are you scamming people online? Please don't do that." I just couldn't stop laughing that day. My family initially thought I am hopeless, when I left my 9-5 job but then slowly as the money started pouring in, they realized their is money in this industry. Actually most of the people in this industry would be similar problems. It's tough for us to explain others that making thousands of dollars per month is possible just by sitting on your chair and working. I will never forget the day when I made $100 in a day, my entire family and GF were literally shocked and I had hard time explaining that it was legitimate income.
