Botscout: Scrapebox, NHSEO killer?

Hello,
Last week I blasted a new website using Scrapebox and NHSEO posting with 10 private proxies from yourprivateproxy. Also used captchasniper.

A few minutes ago, I did G search just looking for any links yet appearing for new website and found my private IP's already listed at botscout(dot)com. It listed anchor text, email used and IP along with time stamp.

Here's excerpt from their site:
BotScout helps prevent automated web scripts, known as "bots", from registering on forums, polluting databases, spreading spam, and abusing forms on web sites. We do this by tracking the names, IPs, and email addresses that bots use and logging them as unique signatures for future reference. We also provide a simple yet powerful API that you can use to test forms when they're submitted on your site.

I'm tempted to guess that Akismet, CommentLuv and others use their databases. And maybe G?
My questions is: Will this kill all efforts of using automated blog commenting programs and eventually get you banned?
Please calm my fears.

The names and emails can be anything so the tracking part seems to be mainly IP based.

Have you tried getting a new set of IPs from YPP?

On their public site, it's not a live link to your anchor text though, but I'm sure that their paid subscribers can see what domain name is linked to and maybe ban your domain even if you submit in slow or manual poster mode.
Oddly enough, I noticed that some of those IP's were previously issued and had dates as far back as a year ago registered at botscout. I wish I knew what site comment was submitted so I can check if comment got posted or not.
Is there an IP blacklist I can further check to see if using those IPs are a vain effort?
 
I'm using dsl so my ip changes everytime I reboot the router.I think I'm safe. :p
 
Is not about them tracking your IP to you, it's about associating your domain with automated spam blogging bots.

I hardly do a direct blast to my money site so its safe I guess.

How are they going to make out that a certain post is made by a bot when names,emails and ips keep changing?
 
lets start scrapebox and give [email protected] as e-mail and Fuck up as anchor and their website as target.

Jokes beside: Those sites are the lame try to "do something". "Something" being the operative word.

You may be right. I think it's better to fly under the radar by blasting pyramid links rather than a direct blast to money site. Basically, I was blasting 2nd and 3rd tier pages (money site) along with web 2.0 properties linking to my money site.

Even if this Botscout is as effective as it seems, it still won't be able to stop commenting on most AA blogs or manual commenting with good proxies.

Even if you make manual legit comments while being in the Akismet black list, they will go straight into spam. Is looking to me like botscout serves Akismet based on combo of previous spam detected proxies associated with YOUR DOMAIN, regardless of whether you are using new, "clean" private proxies. In other words, your domain is now blacklisted as a spammer. Check out this http://www.bbwebconsult.com/en/tools/akismet-test.

Here is what growmap plugin says:

  1. Before you go out visiting other blogs and commenting, it is a good idea to check to see if Akismet has you flagged as a spammer.
  2. If you do not immediately see your comments either the specific wording you used in your comment or your name, URL or IP address has been flagged by Akismet as spam and NONE of your comments will appear immediately in ANY WordPress blog using Akismet (which is most of them).
I read somewhere that the best method of getting your domain off their blacklist is to make comments at friends blogs that use Akismet and have them validate them as "not spam", and approve for posting. This way it will re-train Akismet strict spam filters.


So as I stated originally, it does not matter what IP you blast from because your TLD DOMAIN name is already blacklisted to automatically go into spam. And I think this even applies to AA list also.

That's against the TOS. I'm surprised they haven't been reported by the spammers they're reporting.

Interesting point, I clicked on a few of those "friends" and they all appear to have similar web template design images and formatting. Could those friends be "donors"?

I love this post. Now I know where to go to get all of the AA following info and keyword ideas I want. Thank You BlogScout, SOMETHING makes it easier to get AA lists and keyword scrapes now!
 
looking at that site, it's obvious they're run by an seo black hat, that has turned on his brothers

totally unrelated...
always remember, log in to a throwaway google account after you proxy up, before you do anything someone else may regret

They are bunch of clowns similar to StopForumSpam.

Did StopForumSpam stop XRumer?

Maybe they scare off a couple of newbies. That's about it.
