Possible to make 5-6 figures only with micro niche sites?

Hey,

I've been seeing a lot of threads and products talking about micro niche sites and how profitable they can be.

For those who dont know what MNS's are, they're basically sites that target low competition, low to medium searched keywords.

Is this a feasible strategy or is it not worth my time? Also, how many sites would I need to make decent money?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I started to buy micro niche sites when i first came here. I bought 4 sites for testing and everything was going pretty well until my adsense account got banned for NO REASON. And "NO" I did not click any of my ads and I followed only white hat methods. I opened a new adsense account now and i am not even sure if i can use the new account on those sites again. I guess i will have to give it another try.

You need atleast 100 sites if you wanna make decent amount of money. And of course you never know when your adsense account gets banned lol.

With micro niche sites I think it's possible. Though I don't think it's worth the hassle.

It'll be better to go after authority niche sites. Pick a topic you like, choose some good keywords, and create a post about everything relating to that topic! You can get up to thousands of pages which will make your site the place for that information.

Personally I don't think so. Anybody having major success with them? I have 4 of them, 1 which is ranked #1 for a like 2k local keyword...

I built 100 micro niche sites in January of 2011 (all 7 pages of original content and the rest autoblogged stuff.) Out of the 100 only about 60 get traffic/clicks. Out of the 60 about 6 of them make up 90% of the income. I only make about $15 a day on all of the sites. I have done very little backlinking due the amount of sites that would require work. In my opinion I would say stick with less than 10 sites if possible. Build the 10 or less up to be authority sites and don't mess with trying to manage 100's of domains. Once you have a proven system that is making $$ then branch out to more but one good site can make way more than 100 crappy ones.

How hard would it be to make a MNS that $100 month if you diversify you income streams with: Clickbank, Amazon, Adsense, CPA, etc? Then if you create 19 more sites that make the same amount you would have six figures? Am I being too optimistic or is this feasible?

I know that this is possible.

I have several MNS's that I have ranking top 5 for their KWs and see $50-100/month easy.

I also have not had any problems with my adsense account...hopefully that continues.

I do not understand why people go after low searched keywords.

Whoever said to go after small micro niches was lying to make the competition less for the harder keywords.

I and my partners have ranked for very competitive keywords in the markets of diamond rings, weight loss, dating, hip hop, boots, acne, etc. pretty easily.

It costs about a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars to rank #1 in those niches which are very difficult.

Ranking for very, very difficult keywords like "travel" would cost less than $20,000 which is good for people who have already made money because once you rank for such a keyword in the #1 spot, you can easily sell the site for at least $250,000+.

Marketers need to stop thinking small.

6 figures would be pretty damn tough but I don't see a problem getting 5 figures.

I personally don't put all my eggs in one basket, I do a variety of methods. cpc,cpa, offline seo, e-commerce + drop shipping.

My goal: to have 25-50 micro niches and a handful of authority sites to tag along. Currently I use my MNS help pay to expand my offline SEO business and website.

I figure with 50 micro niches, if I can get each one making an average of 1$ a day (hopefully more) that's 50 dollars a day = 1,500 a month or 18,000 a year. That's more then minimum wage, not to shabby for passive income on top of my offline clients. You can break this down if you can get 25 sites making 2$ a day.. etc etc

It's a lot of time, money, and work, but you have to do it right and not half ass it, don't expect to make that much in a month of work. I am not even close to half of my goal and probably won't hit it for another 6 months at least... (I also work 9-5 at a firm doing SEO )

I think it Is viable. I have 6 Niche sites and currently make $2-$10 per day --it's not a lot but my highest position is #3/#4 and I haven't put as much focus on these sites as I've been busy with other things.

I think if you put some effort in and keep expanding you can make good money.

People really need to stop thinking G is dumb. WTF would you do if you saw some guy with 100 sites on your advertising network. You'd look at 2 sites and ban them all. Stop thinking you'll outsmart one of the largest companies in the world. Start think of G as the government of the Internet and you'll stop thinking about dumbass MNS.

I see that authority sites are the way to go but I am not sure I want to go down that route. I used to have a popular tech blog that earned me $100 bucks a month but it required a lot of content, backlinks, and hard work and I did basically EVERYTHING myself. Imagine me do 10 authority sites? I wont have a life
