Well i am truly surprised. What do you think about this

http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=4cb44c016cee9e83&hl=en

That guy has PR 6 and got google un natural link building penalty :y:

I read that thread and i visited the first link and here is what i got

Anchor texts are Free Vector Art,Free Vector Images,Free Vector all pointing to the same domain which is pretty unnatural.

He got 3 links from footer of the same website with different anchor texts which is considered pretty unnatural.
BigG might have done a manual review for his backlinks. He tried to game the system but got detected.

What is the question exactly? :)

In Google's eyes, any link is "not organic" which has not been placed by another webmaster "voluntarily" linking to your site.

it SEEMS that Google just recently started to get REALLY strict and starts to penalize sites also for forum links signature (!!!) and similar, saying those are "inorganic" links. There was a thread on another forum about this.

In other words: Sh!t is going down, Google is getting REALLY strict!

We know already they do not like article directories, now signatures/forum links etc... ALL could potentially be bad for your site!

Agree.. it's actually BH stuff that are getting the penalties. Like crappy spun article blasts. I guess things are going in the reverse - welcome to whitehat again?

The domain is already penalised.

So we can just spam the shit out of those that rank higher then us and get the penalized right? Sounds like an awesome tool Google has just given us! Let the mother phuckin floodgates of spam open!!! Shit, by the time I'm done Wordpress will be renamed WordDepressed cause of all my spam. :D

In all honesty, Google slapping anyone for unnatural link building is stupid. If anything, they should devalue the links instead of creating a market to spam the shit out of competitor sites.

Well this is going to be new trend i suppose. Because as the days passes i see more website got penalized. And once you penalized you are basically screwed because penalization does not get removed until you remove many many backlinks.

actually it's been proven again and again since last year. I dont do this personally but i know several guys who spam all the way to their competitors and i can tell you it works. Not always work of course...

Sh*t! How much more if our spam links will be discovered by Google..

Try to search in Google.com for "website hosting reviews". His site is in #8
is the reconsider was accepted? what do you think?

No one has an obsolete answer one this. But I don't think Google penalized the website may have due to other combining factors too.

One can simply blame that it is the work from their competitors. So what now? buying service to spam competitors' website?

Google is in a huge dilemma for years, they are just unlucky to be a white rat for experiments.

There is a reason why Google need G+, it is "more natural".

Gmail accounts will be very valuable for SEO in future "only if FB is not there" lol

i also searched via deleting all cookies and yes he is at first page

very interesting. penalized or got warning. at the thread he mentions penalized. or maybe consideration accepted as you said.

Hi there folks, i think you're all right and wrong at the same time, sorry!

Not sure if it's an answer for you all or an unanswered question for me but at least half of the initial post here is true! I have a site 3 years old and before the last google update i had around 300 UV a day and around 7 keywords on the first page of google. Now i have around 3 keywords with all others from unnatural links in sandbox but the strange thing is that i receive 3x times more traffic...

Well, after the update i did tried to improve the content and cleaned some tags and categories toobut still, the few keywords that i have left in the first page are at the bottom so i don't thing suddenly people are starting to search on google from the bottom - up !?

Opinions !?
