Average pricing for PR2/PR3/PR4/PR5/PR6?

There was one dealer that was selling PR domain, old domains up to 20 years...
I'll try to remember

Thanks,
Can you give me an idea / some sort of benchmark on PR domains pricing?

There's no such thing. I use something called a "PR point" to measure PR - it is a linear measure as opposed to the exponential PR. PR point system is like this:

PR0: 1 prp
PR1: 2 prp
PR3: 4 prp
PR4: 8 prp
PR5: 16 prp
PR6: 32 prp
PR7: 64 prp
PR8: 128 prp
PR9: 256 prp
PR10: 512 prp

As you see, a PR6 could be 33prp or 63prp. That's equivalent of several PR1-5 domains. In other words is it a low PR6 or a high PR6? A difference of 1PR is double from previous PR. That can be huge for a PR6 site. Is like two PR5 sites.

Aside from that is the question of WHY IS IT PR X? How many links it has from how many IPs/domains/subnets, how many great links it has, how many authority, etc? Equally important, how many inner pages have PR and what PR is that? If you have a PR6 with 50 PR5 inner pages, 100 PR4 and 300 PR2 then it is worth shitloads of money.

Buying high PR sites is an art. While most buy crap to sell blog posts on a high PR net, if you want to buy for yourself it is an art and a costly art!

I've bought 3 high PR domains on DP in the last month, here is what happened...

PR3 - $20 - maintained ranking after PR update, everything looks good with it
PR3- $20 - dropped to PR0 after update, but luckily ALN hasn't noticed this yet :)
PR4 - $55 - seller tried to scam, still fighting with paypal to get my money back

Summary: don't buy from DP ;)

I'm sure the prices the OP listed are for dropped domains.

I was very suspicious about high PR dropped domains, but I'm having investigation now and the simple fact that as soon as a high pr domain dropped, it's being bought, leads me to think they are worthy... I mean not all of them will retain their PR, but big part of them probably will. In the end of the day if you buy them directly with a coupon and not paying some shitass from DP, one PR3/PR4 domain may cost you as much as $3

lol at those prices expect shit domains. frankly a good PR6 would cost you around $1000. A great PR6 even more.

Yes, that is correct. PR5 might be available for a bargain at times, but 6 and 7 are rather expensive. If they are real they need to have very strong backlinks from wikipedia, gov and edu sites. Specially, when they have somewhat sttractive names, they are bid a lot on namejet when expiring.

I am agree with the jon_xx, if the pr domains is dropped in the past, it may loose the ranking in the next update. so always careful about the history of the domains.

One more thing you must find the reliable provider those sell the fair pr domains without the fake pr domians.

Tks

No you don't, stop spreading incorrect information.

yes, my friend too scammed on dp while buying high pr domains,so please beware always before buying the high pr domains from any where

Can someone please elaborate why PR6 can be 33prp or 63prp?
How is it calculated? Is there any reference to this?
