Spoonfed method for noobs-$0-tons of pics

True I need to dig into the theme mods more. I am trying to send to a best sellers page to see what happens. So far no sales but I have not posted that much. I want to setup that follow script for a while then add more pics. Maybe I can just setup a category on my autoblog that uses WPR to pull flickr images based on keyword and have the linkback on the pics be the amazon link then feed to tumblr.

Sound good in theory.

It sounds great in theory, however im not gonna automate things like content on mine simply because its the quality of the content that gets the reblogs. If i search my niche on flickr i get a vast amount of irrelevant rubbish. I would be interested in the follow script but honestly don't have a clue how to make it work, i'm useless at stuff like this lol

I saw that pop up earlier while i was queueing up posts for the weekend, might be something to look into if this method is generating enough for you to pay for it but i think otherwise you are just spending more money without the guarantee to get any back. Once you have perfected your method with this then i think that is a great way of giving your blog that added boost

This is a really neat post. This is a nice method, but I think it can be improved. Sign up for ImageTwist and ******, upload a photo related to your niche to ImageTwist. Now shorten that link with ****** and put that link as your clickthrough link for you picture. That's probably a solid $5-10 per 1k views which might do better than the Amazon Method. Nice post Marusia and you really had some great points, just wanted to add on to them.

That's not true. I've already made money with this method, and there's at least 4 more people in this thread that have made money. One made $24 within a couple days a couple pages back. I don't need "test monkeys" for my methods. I get asked all the time to share methods, so I put this up. I'm sorry you feel this way, and I can try to help if you need it. I've no reason to throw some garbage method up for people to test for me, as I feel a already do pretty well already on my own. At any rate, if you need help, I can see what I can do.

Hello, I'm having some trouble making a redirect page. When I add a page the drop down only gives me two options

-Standard Layout
-Custom Layout

Nothing about redirect. I'm using the default theme. Do I need to use a redirect script? or does Tumblr just hate me?

Also, I'm a little confused about the necessity of redirecting in the first place as the link is not displayed only the picture. Am I missing something?

btw i found it the best way from all i've tried as a noob to get clicks - i've got them still no converts though. today i found my account suspended - even without any email notifications i have no idea about the reason - may be because i posted too many tiny links in descriptions, or may be because each pic had a redirection url. i will write an uploader to experiment with this metod in more careful and smarter mode thanks to Marusia!

Basically we think that there is a time delay on allowing re-directs, i was able to do it the moment i decided to but i had already had an account and been posting for around a week. Give it some time and you should be able to re-direct.

The necessity of the re-direct is that when you use the re-direct as the source of the image, the image then becomes clickable once its posted. This way when people reblog it you re-direct link stays in the image.

A little update from me, one of my images took off, now up to 3,500 Reblogs, no idea why because its nothing special but hopefully my aff is still there and ive been getting around 250 clicks a day now but still just the one sale. I'm trying to think of some more ways to increase the sales.

i guess that they banned me because last day almost all of my descriptions had the same text with the same bit.ly link i was just testing how it works. is there redirection link on all of your images or just on some?

Is it risky for our amazon accounts?

I've been using tumblr for a little traffic.

I tried your amazon method and yes it works.

I made two accounts, one to adfly with sexy pictures redirecting to my own sexy tumblr.
Made $0.20 in 2 days on adfly, 70+ clicks.

The other one with amazon links, shortened with bitly using popular random pictures.
bit ly tracks 150+ clicks, but amazon tracked 200+, don't ask me why.
Made 10 small sales, got $12.50 if i'm not wrong. I think the same person bought a couple of stuff, that's why there were that many sales at once...

On both accounts I uploaded untill tumblr's limit (I think it is 80 pictures/day)

Now let's see if this can be automated, lol.

I definitely think this method is a slow burner and people shouldn't be put off by crap statistics on amazon. I think you just need to steadily add content over a few weeks, adding keyword related descriptions with the pictures so they are eventually picked up and ranked in google.

Have been experimenting with this seo side of my tumblr posts and have been getting some visits from google, yahoo and bing. So doing this will help you in the long run.

Also you should add some related pics with a link back to actual tumblr blog, this will help get some targeted tumblrs to visit and follow your blog and make your followers grow more automatically and naturally.

Using the power of twitter may help also as a lot of tumblrs use twitter to share their content. So use the free tweetattacks software to start following keyword related tweeters, and then drive some traffic towards your tumblr blog. use the [your keyword] tumblr to follow tumblrs who are interested in your content with tweetattacks.

I've had plenty of clicks to my amazon, with no sales as of yet. But with the exponential growth of this method, you will be spreading out across tumblr and the search engines, eventually attracting those clicks and hopefully sales.

JackSparrow is right, this is definitely not an overnight money method. You just need to keep building up the content and with it you will build up the followers and hopefully get more and more reblogs.
I actually decided not to post anything last night to test how it affects the traffic if i post nothing at all, i mainly just wanted to see how well the content was spreading.

well i gave up posting images nearly a week ago, but I checked amazon and I have 1970 Clicks and 1 order - earning of $0.58 haha! some kindle book, totally unrelated to my pics etc. so worked as a cookie drop. told my wife and she said "yea, but how long were you on there posting pictures!" haha, yea spent quite a few nights adding content... not sure if i will continue...

I appreciate the update. Let us know in a week or two if you're still getting clicks. I'm still making money off videos I blasted months ago. That's the way a lot of internet marketing works. It's residual. Set it, forget it, come back a few weeks later and have a few more bucks just sitting there.

Sweet, well the option for redirect is now showing up. If it's not showing up for you it's because your account is new. Just give it a day or two and it will.

Sorry, still not seeing the need for a redirect even factoring in reblogging. I guess the reblogger will be less apt to change the link if they see it is from a tumblr domain? maybe that's why? again sorry

Anyway I will be testing both to see which I like best. The math of monetizing this doesn't really seem to work out for me. Too much trouble for the small amazon commission you might get. But, this has worked wonders on increasing my impressions by directing to my own site! In fact it has doubled them. friggin sweet.

If you are worried about your click rate you can use this and never have to worry about it again. Thank you so much for showing us this. I had heard of tumblr but never would have thought of using it without this thread

tumblr account in first post is banned. haven't checked it in a while... were you adding too much stuff too fast or something? I had a tumblr account that was simply posting like 500 links to my internal pages for indexing and it got banned in a few weeks.

I have another one that simply posts a pic and a link to my site for each page that I add. That one is fine though.

The account from the OP simply linked back to blackhatworld, and only had a few posts on it, there was really no reason for it to be banned, except that someone would have to have reported it to Tumblr support. That someone was probably a member of this forum unfortunately, which is why a lot of people are scared to post links to their own sites on BHW. So no, it wasn't banned for too many posts.

I started actually with different method and then added a twist to it and used your tumblr method along with it.I made $1.75 with just one sale . Cool! I started a new blog last night to test another twist and I'll be sharing what it is when/if it does better than what I've been doing.
