Wow 1000 is a lot lol most ive had is like 500 but i'm guessing that someone with a lot of followers shared your image.
There are some good pictures on some of those massive facebook pages like "You Laugh You Lose" that kinda thing.
As for products, i've yet to figure that out, today i'm trying some different by linking to amazon's special deal for today on LG TVs hoping that the deals might encourage people to buy one, or to think about getting a tv even if its not one of those.
I just used my tumblr blog and they approved me within minutes, just answer the questions they ask honestly and they should approve you quickly.

well, something like 10 people reblog that picture.. and now, every min someone reblog that... (for example now i have 1,297 notes for that pic)
I have right now 17 followers it's very good for 3 days no? (and 50 pic i upload right now)

nevertheless, i think i will think about some item to sell... you don't think that it will be more effective to sell product with low cost? i think it better to sell alot of low cost items, in spite of 1-2 sells of high cost item....
(+ if you have some recommand product i will glad to hear it)
and say, you said you try to sell TV products, your blog is about TV's? or no?

in addition to that, i put a bit.ly on the pictures, and i got something like 50-60 clicks for 1 day. it good rate?

Thats pretty good going, lets hope that people are actually keeping your aff link in the pictures. One of the bonus i've found about using the redirect is that its almost never been taken out of the pictures so it is getting maximum exposure.

Thats a fair amount for the first 3 days, start following people that reblog or like your posts and you will grow it much quicker.

I've tried low cost and high cost products so far and the only sale ive had was on something completely unrelated so im yet to see which is working better but just try to find some worth buying that is related to your niche. However with valentines day coming up it might be worth linking to gifts and similar items for people that have forgotten etc.
So my advise is try valentines gifts, its the perfect time for it

My blog is not about TV's at all, that is something i'm just trying out for today to see whether the idea of a deal is an incentive to buy right then or at least to encourage them into searching around a bit and maybe buying something else as a result.

Basically you want a product that will keep them interested long enough to buy or to look around for something else. If they close the window straight away then it has no value but the longer you can keep the on the page the better.

50-60 clicks is great, i'm only getting 100 a day now and thats with 700 followers so nice work.

If you have affiliate link in the image can they still be reblogged or won't it take them to amazon or wherever?

The key factor when making sure to follow people is not that you follow them but rather if you do a lot of people will follow back thus gaining you a lot more followers. Not only that but if you follow people who reblog your posts they will hopefully follow back and see more of your posts which they may also reblog giving you more exposure.

With an affiliate in your image it can still be reblogged exactly the same as any other image. This is the aim of this method to get other people to spread your affiliate link around for you by reblogging.

Good thinking, any twists you come up with may help you further, or at least separate you from the pack

Found a cool way of finding tumblr's to start following using twitter.

Just type: tmblr [yourkeyword] in the search box on twitter.

And you get a big list of tumblr's on twitter with links to their tumblr pages for you to clickthrough and follow.

Don't forget to click the all where its says TWITTER Top/All at the top of the list or you get a shorter list.

Take note of this people, will come in very handy when starting off to find other people that are interested in the same niche as you. nice share man

Not had a problem doing this so far and as far as i can tell no one else on this thread has had any issues with getting accounts banned using this method either

Most social media sites hate affiliate marketing. However this isn't as spammy as a lot of other methods out there. I haven't had a problem with any of my accounts either. I wouldn't post a public thread if I had, as I like to implement things myself before putting others at risk.

You can either pick an item related to the picture...or pick something you think someone would be interested in buying based off your niche...or you could even just link it straight to the front page. I would try the first two. If you have a niche where you're doing random stuff like funny sayings, for example, link them to a smart-ass tshirt or something similar.

I just implemented it an hour ago. There are 3 things I'd like to add.

1) I think Twitter can be a nice addition to it, tumblr allows automatic tweeting upon an update. Just go find the niche leaders and mass follow their followers on Twitter. Same goes for tumblr, follow those who reblog/like photos that are similar to your niche.

2) I'm actually using some model's name as my niche. My redirect link is "blahblahblahtumblrcom/sexyoutfit" which is VERY enticing for pervs, and it does lead you to a sexy outfit on Amazon (so it's relevant / not considered as spam/drops your cookie anyway)

3) Tags are very important. I used to be a tumblr addict and tags are one of my most used functions. (well what else can i be searching for? )

Btw, is there any way I can quickly insert tags? I don't want to manually type em every post :/

As far as i'm aware there isn't much you can do with the code to get more sales, its more about what you are re-directing to. But i'm still not using bit.ly because i think its putting people off.

Interesting idea, i have two blogs now on the same account, the only advantage i can see of the two accounts is that you can follow people with both in order to gain more followers.

My photos are normal sized, i'm worried that if i make them small enough that people would have to click to enlarge them they may miss them completely.

The twitter idea is a nice extension to this and could work well, let us know how that goes. Nice use of the internal re-direct and the URl is indeed very enticing so i'd expect to see that convert well

I've yet to find a fast way to input tags and it is basically the hardest part of this is sitting there putting the tags in. I found that it does remember your tags and tries to guess when you start typing so if you use a lot of tags with the same letters on the front it may be slightly quicker. The only other thing i can think of (but i dont think its possible) is if you could use the mass post editor on posts that are in the queue and haven't been published cos then you could add mass tags to all of them.

I hate to be a downer, but I don't think this will make you much money. But, if you're just looking for that first dollar, this may work.

The problem is that you can get a ton of clicks, but very few conversions. I don't think that the average Tumblr user is looking to buy anything when they use the site. Your best bet is definitely Amazon since you might get conversions for other random things that the user buys within 24 hrs.
