I didn't have "use proxies" on the harvest side ticked for one of the portable version running. Been fussing over that one for a couple weeks wondering why it wasn't harvesting much... :cussing:

I Used trial version a couple of months ago and i'm thinking about buying it now cause of lack of time (exams period in University :( ) it could be a good source for 3rd tier backlinks and save me a lot of time. But i checked your changelogs and as far as i understand it is no more "No hands", am i right? I should harvest proxies using my scrapebox and give the list as an input to no hands seo ? It is not just push the start button and forget about it anymore?

it is still no hands seo but proxies need to be set up correctly.

Jim, how do I go about moving NHSEO to a new machine?

Jimbo, I have a question..

After using nhseo and a few other auto-submitting tools, I have now 195 results in google, when I type "mywebsite.xx"
The problem is, my own website does NOT figure in the results! So, I guess the site is not indexed yet.
Now, I'd understand if you say that it can take a little while. But, isn't anything wrong if my backlinks are showing, but not my own website? Could it be that it's already sandboxed or anything like that, because too many backlinks in one go?
I have done this to other websites before, and my own website was indexed almost instantly, together with the backlinks. So, I'm a little bit puzzled here.
Thanks

make sure you dont have the no robots meta data in your sites source code:
Code:
<meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />

NHSEO never stopped being hands free, I have had my VPS running for about 3 or 4days straight as I have it setup with Proxy Goblin.

So long as proxies are being used for searching there is still no need to touch it once you have pressed start.

HOWEVER - I am working on a proxy harvester and this is currently in its testing phase so if all goes well it will be released tonight or tomorrow so it will again be usable without any other third party tools or services.

Jim, how do I go about moving NHSEO to a new machine?

Just install to your new machine and then copy the DATABASE.db3 file from your "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder on your old machine to the same folder on your new computer. If you get a message about having NHSEO installed on too many machines when you start it up just send an email to support, PM or use the website contact form to let me know and I will reset your machine list for you.

If you are not searching for site:domain.com then you are not searching correctly. It is highly likely that the site is actually not indexed yet as opposed to indexed, manually reviewed and then removed.

If you want to PM me the website you are talking about I will look into it for you and give a much better idea than trying to blindly guess.

I wanted to post here that my issue with the "Updated profile" from a couple pages back is solved now thanks to Jimbo's support, I have never seen such fantastic, timely, and helpful support from anything that I've bought here on BHW. So if your on the fence then you must buy.

Thanks Jimbo for the help! But, it looks like it won't be necessary. I guess I was being a little impatient, because the site is actually showing now.

So, now the run for the number one spot (which is rightfully mine! :p ) has started! ;)

Hey Jimbo I have been a user of NHS since the very beginning and I am loving the tool, but I do have a suggestion:

I would really like to name profiles so that I can keep them organised. As far as I know it is not possible yet, right? Would be a simple but great addition to the already awesome tool ;)

Cheers

I'd like that too but its not as simple as you think.

Jimbo,
Quick question. Does the license support me using it on 2 computers? If not can you walk me moving it to another computer?

Yeah I know plenty of users want this feature and it will be added, its just that the proxy harvester is the main priority then a couple other things and it will be added. I realise that is quite vague but there are lots of feature updates to come and that will be one of them.

Jimbo,
Quick question. Does the license support me using it on 2 computers? If not can you walk me moving it to another computer?

The license is good for 2 computers. If you get a message that it is installed on too many machine just send me a PM or email telling me the email address you used to purchase and I will reset the license for you, it doesn't take long for me to do.

How can I migrate the database from one machine to another? Is it as simple as copying files? If so can you let me know which ones (feel free to pm me if that is kind of proprietary thing).

Thanks for the super product and rapid response times. If they had a poll for best support in the industry I would vote for you hands down (there is a no hands seo joke in there somewhere I just am too tired to find it)

Done this myself this morning --if you go into my documents folder you will see a NHSEO folder, in there is a database file, move that to the new pc and that's it.

I moved from xp box to 2008 no problem, it takes everything -campaigns, history, proxies etc;)

Many thanks that def worked.

Does anyone know if I can change the directory where the DB resides? I would rather have it on my NAS then on Local storage just in case anything happens.

Just updated to the latest version will post results. Jimbo I was wondering if its okay to use it with 1 profile without any proxies because I tried it for 2 days and was really surprised with the great results. Also want to add that if possible an add on feature would be to proxy harvest mode only and option to extract them

Thanks guys. David is correct you just need to install on your new machine and then copy over the DATABASE.db3 file from the "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder to copy all profiles and settings.

You can use the portable version, however I am unsure if the write permissions on a network drive would be sufficient. Windows can be act weird with file permissions in recent versions which is why the DB location is fixed.

Running the portable version from the NAS drive could create a very slow running tool due to the added latency between app and storage device. It sounds strange but the bigger the delay between app and HDD the more CPU is used by sqlite so it could have some pretty nasty side effects.

You can try it out easily enough though by downloading the portable version from the members area, extract to your NAS, copy the DATABASE.db3 file from your "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder to your portable app on your NAS and run it to see how it goes. If you don't remove the original DATABASE.db3 file from the My Documents folder you won't even have to reinstall you can just carry on using the installed version.

If you are not using NHSEO very hard then it is very possible to run without proxies but when you get a few more profiles you can find the app having to do constant searching for many minutes on end which will get you limited by Yahoo quickly.

As for the proxy harvester being used to output proxies it is very unlikely. I do have plans to extend the proxy harvester and improve on it as well as a couple of surprises with it but that will not be announced for a couple of weeks yet.
