This Is How I Increased My Traffic By 150%

Would like to share my own personal experience and maybe get your opinion.
Sorry for the log post, but I have to describe the situation before asking for your opinion.

By installing Search Term Tagging 9 months ago on a 2 years old blog, I managed to get from 70 uniques a day to 7000 a day.
I was using STT, including the 3 widgets , set up to 30 searches and 10 in the widgets as links.
The increase in traffic was gradual till it reached these 7000 daily visitors.
The blog had hybrid content - a mixture of about 40% original content and the rest coming from various auto posting sources.

A couple of weeks ago it got de-indexed.

Have to add that I also ran a couple of small/moderate AMR blasts for the blog in the past couple of months... and that I had Web Traffic Genius Pro installed as well, sending out RSS for each post made to a bunch of RSS aggregating sites.

I figured the blog got penalized for keyword stuffing (with the list of search terms under each post and the search terms in the widget areas) and since I do now want to risk my other blogs, that also have STT on them, I reduced the numbers on the plugin's set up drastically.

Obviously traffic to them had decreased... so did their revenue.

For example, another blog I have has about 300 pages of content.
All 100% original quality content.
It shows appx 90,000 indexed pages after having STT installed on it for 9 months (it is 1.5 years old).
(BTW, A blog with 300 pages that is indexed for 90,000 search terms can not possibly have relevant content for each search term it is indexed for... so some if not most of these terms lead to a 404 page on the blog. That can not be good for the blogs ranking in the longer term, I guess...)

That blog got to nearly 4000 daily visitors and by reducing number of searches on STT and removing 2 of the 3 widgets it seems to have reduced to about 2000 daily visitors only. (but it is too early to say. It has only been a few days)

At present I am looking for the optimal set up to that plugin.
To use it's ability without risking he blogs.
Would like your opinion on keeping my blogs on the safe side while enjoying the increased traffic STT is able to get.
Did any of you find the formula to use this plugin and still stay under radar?
Which number of searches are you using?
With or without adding the search terms under the posts?
With or without the widgets?
Which widgets?
Set to act as links to search?

It is a question about fine tuning the powers of this plugin...
What do you think?

The search terms tagging plugin will get your site sandboxed and/or deindexed If you use it. Just saying since it is happening to alot of people including myself.

after the panda such blogs are being penalized, but to be very honest its threads like these that make a working method go up in smoke as every tom dick and harry started using this method with the plugin set to full throttle.... if a method really works , especially if its related with goog rankings, then its better kept secret...

I've wondered how long the party could last with this plugin. But I think perhaps the specific configuration greatly influences the potential for an adverse reaction from G.

neo, do you have specific experience of a post-Panda hit? Please share.

Exactly, youre absolutely right, and thats why I said that its threads like these that makes a good working method go up in smoke... this plugin was able 2 make or break your ranking, but now its hard 2 make but easy 2 break... but still it can work, but a big twist is required...

Yes, I got 2 sites penalized and 2 got deindexed, after that I stopped using this plugin the way it ws used earlier, but now I have twisted the method and testing it, so far so good ....

This helped me for one website. But for three others it does not seem to help that much fer SERP's.
Trying to find out why, and will post results in a weeks.

EDIT: Now I read it can cause deindex or penalties i removed them all..

This makes perfect since, if you go to G keyword tool and type in a miss spelled word you can see that G get 1000's of searches for that keyword per month. What you have to understand is, there are a lot of people that don't spell well. There are even more that don't know proper English as they are just learning so they miss spell keywords as they type them in to search. If this didn't happen very often then why does G have the search when a miss spelled word is added come up with the "Did you Mean" box. So I can definitely see how you can get more traffic from missed spelled words. I think that's the bottom line...More Traffic...Good... Mongo Like! :smashfrea

Can someone share the safe setting for wp e-commerce website ?

this is simple but brilliant method. Never though like this before, this could work.

guys be careful with this plugin.. i was getting 5-10k per day but i believe because of this plugin i got slapped hard.

keeping the settings low might do the trick but it still has to be confirmed ( I would try this with money sites right off the bat )

uh! can't imagine how you getting this great idea, never though typo also can drive traffic.
great sharing

Half of this method was familiar for me, now it's time to implement some new things.
Thanks for sharing this info :)

Are you people still getting results with this methods or has everyone been sandboxed? I hear that the creator of this post had a site making 15k de-indexed because of the wp plugin?

I no longer use this method.

Every 3-6 months the SEO game changes, so you have to constantly find new methods that work.
