That's exactly why I still submit articles to them every now and then.
My point with saying AC pays crap was that, well - it does. Now, crap money is still money, but anyone reading this thread title and looking to make good money solely from AC is setting themselves up for either a serious disappointment or a workload like you describe (obviously, outsourcing changes things).
It's just that the same amount of effort to make a couple hundred bucks a week with AC would yield more elsewhere. AC's a good tool (especially for someone who's new to making money online and strapped for cash), but I don't think anyone would be doing themselves a favor by planning for it to be their #1 tool.
Yes I am submitting articles.And making quite a killing from it to. I wont be able to retire from it but it most certainly complements my other incomes big time. I got to the point where I was creating new accounts, uploading articles, checking my payments, and using up my valuable time. So I wrote a software package to automate it all for me. Now I just sit back and let it do it all for me. Easy!!!

Was rolling along pretty nicely with AC then BAM, 10 articles declined today. Cite Your Source. GGRRR. Same with the wife, had her articles declined for the same reason, first time since we started over 2 weeks ago.
I guess the editors were over quota today because you know that even if you re-submit with sources they still get declined. I'm deleting them and re-submitting them with new titles and descriptions. If they get declined again I'll throw them on an adsense blog.
BTW, I made about $50 so far and just got started. Same with wife and son. Not much but will help with the holidays coming up.

AC pays crap
I keep my AC and textbroker income separate from my freelance income and use that to build my own sites.
Ac this year pay much lower than previous year.... well... i do agreed with you that the payout rate is abit sucks...but hey...AC give alot of people of earning chance....
You're right... The Dragon really not a dragon. Frustrating!
Wonder why when the people demonstrate it, the work is perfect?! Perhaps our microphone problem?

Where do you get $.50 per article? It seems like people don't want to take $0.50 per article work. 400 words and above?

Are they good in writing? I mean if it's bad in writing, AC won't accept the articles as well.

This is my first time posting though I been following this thread for about a week. I must say Script Lance is a good place to get cheap writers. I have two writers that writes for $1 I had a project for 60cents but felt that was to low.
I also a trick to not pay the admin fee. I have about 10 people bidding for my project and I lucky found two of them that had myspace pages. I just contacted them through there so it was free...
just my 2cents. Also still waiting on about 30 articles to get approve.. keep u posted.
