How am I doing so far on my articles?

I'm new to writing articles for blogs and would like to know how I'm doing and make sure I'm not really leaving anything out that can hurt/help me more in the rankings. I'm wanting to rank high in the rankings for Google for 1 main keyword. I'm also using All in One SEO Pack for Wordpress.

• I'm writing 25+ articles around 300-500 words each with 100% unique content. (16 finished)
• 5-6 articles have main keyword in the tags
• 4-5 articles have main keyword in the article
• 3-5 tags for each article related to my niche
• Short description for each post
• Keyword density for main keyword on my main page is 0.96 (is that to low?)

I didn't want to over do it with my main keyword but would still like some advice from others who have more experience. Should I be doing more? Writing more? etc. Thanks!

I am assuming these are for on site SEO.... make the articles longer than 500 words.

Use h1,h2,h3 tags.

KW density of 1 - 2%.

Use the strong tag for your KW(s).

Target 1 KW per page.

Put up a page, backlink that page right off.

Thank you for your input. When you mean "Put up a page, backlink that page right off." do you mean to set up a page on my site that links to all of my posts like a table of contents?

I also have another question as well and it's with Traffic Travis. For my most common warnings they are "Your page title and H1 tags are the same.", "An image was missing an alt tag.", and "Your page contains over 100 links." Are these big things that will have an impact on my onsite SEO?

I have no idea about TT as I don't use that tool so I can't help you there.

By put up a page I mean when you add a page to your site, send backlinks directly to that inner page and not the main page.

The keywords density does matter so keep it to 2%-3% in your articles.
