my pictures are relatively popular, but no one wants to buy anything from amazon... maybe the pictures are targeting the wrong crowd...

Do you guys link a specific product on your photos? I have tried mostly linkmania searches...

You've got about the same kinda record as me, i did initially try listmania searches but instead of gone back to promoting individual products, i think the aim is to keep the interested long enough to either buy the product, or think of something else they want to buy then go get it and voila you get the commission.

so i don't understand what is the idea of all tumblr? i mean, how the method works? with adfly? amazon? cpa? ...?

If you want to know how the method works its explained in detail in this thread.

EDIT: I just checked my stats and i got 104 clicks from last night and most importantly i got an order :D Someone bought a printer cable for $2.50 :D its not much but hey its my first $0.10 commission haha :D thus proving that this can work

In the original thread Marusia doesn't mention ******, she mentioned Bit.ly, but also further down the thread she warns against using ****** because it will harm your conversions.

what is the differents? :S

As far as i know, Bit.ly is just a url shortener whereas ****** is a url shortener that bombards people with adverts when they use it and you take a minuscule commission when they click on the links. Neither are great because people won't click on them.

but bit.ly don't pay money
so how should i make money for that method? :S

Are you sure you've read this entire thread? because if not i would suggest you take 20 minutes and read every single post. This method isn't about making money with ****** its about making money using amazon affiliates. I will answer any more questions you have gladly when you've read through the thread.

well, i tried it too, but it doesn't goes on so good.. 2 days so far 0.009$... :S
I want to try my luck with CPA like amazon, but I can't find my State at the register page.

someone can tell me the solution? or recommand another good CPA program?

2 days isn't long enough to base anything off of. It takes 1-2 days for amazon commission to propagate into your stats. :)

Yes, ****** will stop people from going to your actual affiliate link, because of the ads, most people click off from there. The reason to use a bit.ly link is to actually track where your clicks are coming from, and see which pictures are getting you the most click through rate. Bit.ly can show you the referrer, so you can see exactly which blog and image gave the best clicks, so you can watch for patterns and fine tune your posts.

haha just now after this message i understand all the method...

What subject you recommand to advertise?

Well the niche is gonna have to be something you come up with on your own, but further up the thread i posted about some ideas and things to concentrate on. Best thing to do is to concentrate on niches that get a lot of reblogs :-D

hey, again thank for all the helpers :)
it's really motivated me..

I made a tumblr blog, about funny pics. you think I can use it for some affilate program? selling some product?
if yes, which program, and in what category?
if no, you think i need to open new blog more specific about the niche i will chose, and make all the funny pics blog links to the new one?

How many times per day should we do this per account to be safe?

Is there a way to automate this? Maybe with Imacros?

Thanks

Im gonna be careful when replying to this thread all the time because this is Marusia's thread and i don't want to hijack it from her, but i will answer these questions.

Well to be honest i would still advise using amazon, i initial tried it using clickbank, got plenty of clicks but literally no real interest in the product because if they don't like it then you don't get a sale, whereas with amazon, even if they don't like what you are linking to they may search around and buy other stuff and you will still take a commission on their purchases. Well the question is this, are the pictures being reblogged? and what is the source of the pictures?

I upload 8 images a day on average and i've had no problems so far, it only takes a few minutes anyway so its worth just doing it by hand to make sure you get it right.

Don't worry about it. I'm not that kind of person. I think it's awesome that you are willing to help and I appreciate it very much. I love seeing motivated people. So, by all means, please keep doing what you're doing. :)

Well in that case, bring on the trumpets!, or questions, whichever comes first really. I'm on a high after getting my first sale with this method so now ive just gotta up-scale and get some more moolah. But for anyone struggling, drop your questions in here and i'll get back to you ASAP

The servers on Tumblr have been crap tonight so expect your reblogs and clickthroughs to diminish.

I have been trying this method initially just to get niche visitors on my website, which has adsense and a clickbank product on I am promoting.

All I can say on that score is that the traffic in the last 3 days has been 200 visitors, which isn't at all bad for a total of 20 pictures. The only problem is I've not made any cash so far on either fronts.

I've tried promoting niche videos to get more views on Youtube just to test the water, because i was thinking if you get a large network of followers you can sell some sort of service for Youtube views on fiverr. But it maybe difficult to predict amount of views and Tumblr don't seem too responsive to videos.

As for the bit.ly shortener service when you copy and paste amazon urls into the box and click shorten url, they are converted to amzn.to not bit.ly.

I'm now converting my method to amazon products because they have some silly t-shirts on my niche, that short sleeved motif wearing teenagers should lap up.

Yeah i noticed that aswell, i didn't seem to get as many reblogs as usual last night and yet i still got around 100 clicks which is odd but i'm not complaining about it.

I think the problem with using this method to promote individual products is that although the users are generally from the niche you are using they still tend to be quite untargeted. If they click through and don't like the product you are promoting then they simply won't buy but with amazon they may not like the first product but might look around and find something(s) else to buy and thus you still get your commission.

I've not tried using videos on tumblr yet but from what i can tell they aren't as popular as simple pictures and unless your niche is concentrated on people who would actually want to buy youtube videos or know what fiverr is i'm not sure thats the best approach.

I did not know that bit.ly shortens URL differently for amazon links but i don't use bit.ly. The advantage of it is of course being able to track which images are getting more clicks but i'm not that interested in that stat because i think a lot of people are just clicking the images accidently or to try and get back to my blog. So the logic i'm apply to that is that the more reblogs an image gets the more clicks i'm gonna get from it. This means i can use the internal tumblr redirect which looks much more legit and i think can drastically improve your CTR.

Something else i've noticed now is what specific types of pictures work.

Pictures that are essentially just text as a picture don't tend to get a great response.

Pictures that show only an photo or something related can do slightly better and if its a magnificently beautiful picture it will do well.

Pictures that do the best are those that have a beautiful image in the background but with some form of inspirational text overlay relating to the background. These get reblogged like crazy for me.

Hey you, thanks for answering...
I have a funny pictures tumblr, and i get around 1-10 reblogs for each picture i upload.
and i have one pictures that got 1000 reblog :S don't know how it came up... but nevermine xD...
the source of the pictures are from facebook accounts that i friend of them.

but my question is, what the best products to sell... what category...
and in the register of amazon, i most say where i selling the products...
they take me as affilate if i write a funny pic blog? or do i need to open another one about the specific topic i will chose?

thanks for answering... :)

1-10 is a good start, how many followers have you got? and do you tag every post with popular topics?

Wow 1000 is a lot lol most ive had is like 500 but i'm guessing that someone with a lot of followers shared your image.
There are some good pictures on some of those massive facebook pages like "You Laugh You Lose" that kinda thing.
As for products, i've yet to figure that out, today i'm trying some different by linking to amazon's special deal for today on LG TVs hoping that the deals might encourage people to buy one, or to think about getting a tv even if its not one of those.
I just used my tumblr blog and they approved me within minutes, just answer the questions they ask honestly and they should approve you quickly.
