agreed, but then again, isnt that leaving a great big LOOK AT ME footprint for G: no indexed pages, no content, yet there are still 543 bazillion backlinks? hmmmmm.....
anybody able to chime in with a view based on actual experience? ive certainly heard it said that this is an old method of promoting a website so that to the outside world there are no/few backlinks showing.
having said that, ive always been under the impression that the 301'd site had content published onto it and was allowed to develop and gain a bit of page rank in its own right before being 301'd.
admittedly, i havent used this technique as im mostly into offline, but if there was somebody able to chime in based on their actual experience of this, id consider nterested in using the ploy for some of my own offline sites and
